Do you still have your holiday decorations up? Or have you taken everything down already? When do you take the holiday stuff down? We take all our Christmas stuff down on New Year's Eve every year to start the New Year nice and clean! Yay! But we leave up all our snowflakes and snowmen up because THIS IS WISCONSIN after all!
This is the first year our cats did not destroy our tree. So, I am still enjoying how nice the decorated tree looks. We will probably take it down this weekend, though.
The last 4 years, our two cats thought that the tree was put there for them to climb on and have "pretty, shiny" bulbs (balls) to bat around. I swear some mornings I would get up and think that 10 cats had been climbing in the tree!!!
After having to redecorate the tree each morning, we became so tired of it that we put it away as soon as we could. So, this year it is a real treat for us - we only had to decorate the tree one time!
YEP but tomorrow it will be undressed and thrown out LOL
In Germany they only decorate the tree on 24th of December and leave it until after the 6th of January which is a catholic holiday here (holy 3 kings ???)
For me the weekend after new year is the best time to put it down because I have the time to clean the living room and go hunting for needles.
This year I wanted my New Years resolution to be no more procrastinating, but I need more time to think about it so can I get back to you on that one? LOL Seriously, our tree us usually up until mid January. My reasoning for this is that our home owners association has a rule that decorations outdoors need to be taken down within 30 days after Christmas.
