Is your Christmas tree still up????

I just took it down today. What's funny is that I couldn't fit all the decorations back in the boxes, so I have to go buy some Rubbermaid tubs tomorrow.

I usually make sure it is down by New Years Day. But, um, yeah. That's on my to do list today. Everything is still up and MUST come down.

I took down the decorations and everything off of the tree yesterday and the tree will come down this evening. That's the husbands job.

I like to leave mine up through New Year's--and have it taken down on the 2nd.

But I have to insist on this.

As if my husband had his way--the tree would be down on the 26th!!!

The question isn't whether my Christmas decorations are still up, its whether my HALLOWEEN decorations are still up!!

We decorated our balcony with lots of Halloween items this year and the kids didn't want to take them down. So we improvised. The large plastic skeleton heads are wearing Santa hats (my 13 year old cleverly calls them "The Spirits of Christmas"). The large BOO! banner has a Santa Stop Here sign underneath it. We strung red and green lights on the same hooks as the already-existing orange ones. The plastic pumpkins are covered in tinsel (my 7 year old thought this was a good idea so we went with it!)

So now I'm just trying to figure out how to be lazy and add Valentines Day to the mix. The neighbors must think we are insane!
