twitter moms: the influential moms network

I am curious to find out if there are a lot of other parents with nighly visits of their kids who want to cuddle up near their parents.

My youngest loves it and he has this internal alarm going off at 1.00 in the morning where he gets up and wants to sleep in my bed. Next to ME not my husband.

When I am up to it I wait half an hour and I return him to his bed. This usually works very well. When I am too tired he ends up in my bed all night and I wake up with a stiff neck or backproblems.

However,..... he is 3,5 years old, an overload of charm and don't you just love it to wake up next to a lovely little face like that ???

I guess it will be over soon enough.

What do you think ?

This is so funny! I though my son was the only other child in the world that did this! He has the same alarm! Only his goes off exactly 2 hours after he is put into bed. He only wants to cuddle and for me to hold him also, not my husband. You are a champ, because I'm always too exhausted to put him back to bed and he stays there until the morning with us. My son just turned 3 last week and he's been doing since we got him a big boy bed and he was able to get out of it. I keep telling my husband that he will eventually grow out of it.
I don't know...
I like cuddling with him also though:)

He will grow out of it sooner than we like LOL. My 5 year old it not that cuddly any more. Never has been actually.
I think we should enjoy it while we can.

My daughter only takes nightly naps in her bed! My husband and I take turns putting the 4 year old princess to bed every night. She can't fall asleep without a body (preferably mine) next to her. She wakes up after 2 or 3 hours and ends up sleeping with us the rest of the night. We gave up on taking her back to her room because we figure we all get more rest this way. Besides, it does feel great to wake up next to her cute smile and the way she says "mommy" in the morning really warms my heart. She's growing so fast so co-sleeping is not an issue for us.

Again last night little man walked over at 2 am. I decided to pull our the sleeping sofa bcs for one night I wanted space. Normally I feel like I have magnets in my butt because no matter where I go they stick to me LOL.
