Obama warned "not to expect too much from him or the federal government"

So we are not to expect help from the government, however, the government takes our money in the form of taxes to force us to help the banks, insurance companies, mortgage investors, car makers, and many others in the forms of bailouts and earmarks.
I don't expect the government to help me but at the same time I would appreciate it if they didn't have a "Robin Hood" complex.
