Houston, Tx:
Hermann Park: The park features a water playground, a nature education area, a zoo, a natural science museum, a Japanese Garden and jogging, bicycling, and hiking trails.

Old Town Spring
Step back in time with a visit to Old Town Spring. Filled with shops, restaurants, museums and art galleries, this town has something different around every corner. www.oldtownspringtx.com

ARBORETUM: Escape the hustle and bustle of city life and explore the rich wildlife at the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center, a non-profit nature sanctuary. It's located in Memorial Park, another natural treasure cherished by Houstonians.

CHILDREN'S MUSEUM: Rated one of the top two children's museums in the country, this innovative museum includes hands-on exhibitions in the science and technology, history and culture, health and human development, and the arts. Most of all -- it's fun. (Free for the family on Thursday evenings, otherwise $5.00 per person)

DISCOVERY GREEN: Discovery Green, a 12-acre park located in downtown Houston, is home to a one-acre lake, children's playground, public art, restaurants and even a dog run.

Of course we have lots of other things, museums, the zoo, Space Center, etc... but there is a fee

Hermann Park sounds amazing. May I reprint this list on TMOM?
