I was wondering how many of you have snoring husbands at home making it soooo hard for you to fall asleep.
Mine starts snoring the minute he closes his eyes and he is even wearing one of those breath-easy tapes on his nose. Of course he doesn't believe me when I tell him I couldn't sleep and I already think of taping it to make him listen. However,... it doesn't change a thing.

How are you handling this without moving to the sleepingcouch.
Looking forward hearing from you all.

Oh hon, I can totally sympathize! My husbands snoring was so bad that we did revert to sleeping apart for over a year! (Well, most of the time anyway. LOL) About a year ago I had HAD it with the snoring and/or sleeping apart! None of the over the counter stuff for stopping snoring worked for my hubby, so I sent him to the doc. They did a sleep apnea test on him and now he has a CPAP machine. It has been a God send! He sleeps better now since he's not snoring and so do I! I highly recommend your hubby seeing a doc about his condition. It could be a serious problem, not just annoying.

Thanks for your reply. To be able to send my husband to the doctor I have to convince him first that indeed HE IS snoring.
He doesn't believe me (roll-eyes).
But,... I'm working on it LOL

Thks for you reply.

My husband and I also both have CPAPs. Sleep apnea is a very serious condition, and should not be ignored. Stroke, heart attack, etc.

My hubby knew he was snoring, he just refused to do anything about it. It became a pretty big strain in our relationship for a while. Finally, his dad (who also uses a CPAP) talked to him about the dangers of snoring and how just getting checked out could help him and he decided to go. It is a very scary thing what snoring can do to someone.

My husband used to snore so loud == we teased and teased...and guess what he had sleep apnea...I am spelling it wrong...anyway...if he snores loud you will want to check it out, that is one of the signs of it.

I relate...my husband snores but we did find if he sleeps on his right side it will stop. The problem is he fidgets a lot in his sleep and ends up on his left side, snoring loudly, and wakes me up. At least we did find a solution to the snoring so I have not had trouble falling asleep - we now need to find a way to get the snoring to stop so I can stay asleep. I have insomnia as it is - the snoring doesn't help any. I am lucky in that he is super sweet and understanding about it (that took a few months of work on my part to get him that way, lol) but I know for sure he will not see a doctor about it. It is tough to get him to ANY doctor for any reason as it is.

yes my hubby is a bad snorer. He'll fall asleep and start snoring while watching tv. lol I nudge him and say wow you fell asleep fast. He'll insist "I wasn't sleeping!" I'll tell him he was snoring so I know he was sleeping and he'll tell me he wasn't snoring. LOL What??? I think it's pretty easy to tell. I think men are funny beings. ;) I am so annoyed by his snoring. I love him to pieces but I HAVE to fall asleep before him. If I wake in the middle of the night, I can't fall back to sleep with the chainsaw next to me. hee hee

It is really horrible. I can't fall asleep either when he is snoring and sometimes I go back downstairs just to watch some tv before returning and hoping the guy will be quiet LOL
