I was wondering how many of you have snoring husbands at home making it soooo hard for you to fall asleep.
Mine starts snoring the minute he closes his eyes and he is even wearing one of those breath-easy tapes on his nose. Of course he doesn't believe me when I tell him I couldn't sleep and I already think of taping it to make him listen. However,... it doesn't change a thing.

How are you handling this without moving to the sleepingcouch.
Looking forward hearing from you all.

Who ever invented the cPap machine saved many marriages and sleepless nights. ;)

Not only what my hubby tired "all the time" and falling asleep in customers offices... but he was one big grouchy bear.

Since the sleep study and the cPap machine... we have a much happier camper in the house and he feels so much healthier. He likes waking up feeling rested and having a positive attitude. Go figure.

Really! If you husband has a snoring problem (even if he doesn't believe he does) Give him the gift of "life" and get him into a sleep study. It's painless and just might save his life!

I eventually pushed the issue. My husband has sleep apnea, he now wears a CPAP machine and it has made all the difference in his health, sleep, and my sleep. He tried the breath rite strips, spray, sleeping on his side only, me kicking the crap out of him...
Good luck!

This is so great to get all these reactions from all you people. I knew I am not alone with this problem but I didn't expect this kind of response.
Thank you sooooo much and good luck to us all.

I have been noticing that my husband is snoring more while falling asleep.
In the middle of the night when he is fast asleep and I wake up he can even be quiet for some time.
He does breath, it is not as if he is not breathing. I really believe that this "puresleep" thing would solve all the problems.
Maybe I just put it under the christmas tree and see what happens LOL

Keep reaction though please, it is very interesting to hear all your stories.

Thanks
Manuëlle

My husband snores so badly that when we go on vacation, my kids and I get one hotel room and he gets his own, or we get a suite with 2 bdrms. He does sleep on the couch and has for the past 3 years. He went and did a sleep study and they determined that he has sleep apnea from snoring and should wear a CPAP, a breathing apparatus he supposed to wear when he sleeps, but he refuses. I told him unless he does that, he will not be back in our bed. What can you do? He's an adult. I can't force him.

Debra, my husband did a sleep study and was told he needed a CPAP but he refuses to use one. He said it would be to uncomfortable, too loud and that I would not be happy about that. He has not slept in our bed in 3 years. I know he would feel so much better and quite frankly, the noise of that CPAP would not bother me and be much better than his snoring!

I would so love to send hubby to doctor. He knows he has a problem. He knows he more than likely needs one of those machines, but with no insurance and no money and no time off...we're kinda SOL. :0)

in our house its me that snores so hubbys been sleeping on the sofa for a long time, it doesn't help that he needs to have a tv playing in the background to fall asleep, so if were both in the bed i either get woken for snoring or woken by tv just cant seem to win in this house...but now after reading some of the replies i think a trip to the doctors may be needed....

My husband snores each and everyday, and when I tell him he tries to I snore too! I have taped him 5 times, but he refuses to do something about it

well- instead of him using the breathe-easy tapes, why don't you try duct tape (just kidding). I think those things are a crock and don't work. I have the same problem. I just try to fall asleep before he does and I'm fine but if he falls asleep first which is usually the case, well i just lay there and contemplate where I'd stash the body. JUST KIDDING. I feel your pain trust me. I usually just poke him and ask him to snore in the opposite direction. Of course sometimes he justs grunts and revolves completely around until he's facing me again and continues to snore in my face...only louder. He even tortures me subconsciously. Good luck! It's an age old dilemma.

My husband snores like mad...but I got even and started snoring back!

Yep, I have considered the duct tape LOL
When I nudge him he stops and/or turns around. I hope that I will be able to fall asleep in these 20 seconds of heavenly silence....

He says I am snoring as well but I think this is just to throw the ball back at me. He can't stand it hearing he is snoring haha.
