Teaching a leason.. Don't mess with mom =)

  • Rating: No Rating
Shoes scattered across the floor, shirt thrown on the back of a chair, backpacks and jackets flung in the bottom of the closet, and food wrapper 2 inches away from the trash can. How did it get this bad? Where did I go wrong? I know they know what to do. Put the shoes in the closet, hang up the shirt, put the jacket and backpack away properly, and put the trash in the can. The problem is I am sick of asking. I am sick of them walking over the crap on the floor and looking at me like I am crazy when I tell them to bend over and pick it up. I am thinking of going on strike but my fear of being buried alive under all their junk keeps me cleaning. I have devised this plan to mess up their rooms and take their toys and hide them. I wonder how long it will take before I hear the infamous scream of "Mom, I can't find my,__________" as I sit on the couch with a huge smile on my face. I know I am not alone. You too have felt like a glorified maid. If you could do anything to teach your ungrateful family a lesson what would you do? Be creative with out doing harm =)

My previous home didn't have a closet in the entry hall. My daughters were constantly leaving shoes piled by the door. I threatened one day if the shoes weren't picked up I would toss all the shoes out the front door. My oldest daughter didn't listen and her shoes got tossed out the front door. We are in a different home with a closet in the foyer, all shoes get carried upstairs as soon as they come off, nobody is taking a chance. *GRIN*

Don't get me wrong my house has plenty of cubbies, closets and such... It is getting from point A to B that seems to be forgotten. We did a chore list and it lasted for 2 weeks then they stopped doing it all again.

Sew About My World - I have soo thrown shoes out the door. I threw my hubbies in the trash because i tripped over them 3 days in a row. He found them before they were thrown out completely but he picks his up now =)
