I was reading about this in the newspaper today. It sounds like it wouldn't be a bad time to get emergency plans in place and be sure we have well-stocked households. We don't have to panic, but we can be prepared.
Widespread illness could really wreak havoc on the economy, couldn't it?
Gina,Too paranoid??? My boss (who's female) thinks i'm a bit paranoid...i have to travel to Los Angeles from Phoenix on Wednesday and chose to drive 6 - 7 hrs than to risk the flight which is a helluva lot shorter (one hour)...i have a legitimate reason to be paranoid: i had the flu/pneumonia a couple of weeks ago and it was the worst strain i've ever had...even my two c-sections were cake compared to this...i was out of work for almost two weeks, couldn't get out of bed, and had all of the symptoms equivalent to the swine flu except for the vomiting/diarrhea part...i really do not wish to have a repeat occurrence :)
