Ways to Support Each Other

  • Rating: 5 after 5 votes
Hello everyone!

I’m very excited to announce we have 8000+ awesome moms who have joined together on Twittermoms. With all the rapid growth, I just wanted to explain a few ways we can support each other and keep the site a healthy, fun, useful resource for moms who love to tweet!

Twittermoms was started to support moms in their businesses and personal lives. We have several options for members to promote their businesses, websites, blogs, products, and more.

1. Post a blog entry about your area of expertise, including links to your blog or website
2. Announce your contests or offers in the “Contest” group
3. List your blog or business in the DESIGNATED promotional areas within specific groups
4. Post links to your poll or survey in the “Polling” Moms group
5. Post whatever you would like on your profile page
6. Start a discussion about your area of expertise and include links to your blog

The one thing that is NOT acceptable is to send group or individual emails to members asking them to fill out your survey, buy you product or service, enter your contest or do anything else. This is considered SPAM and it’s a deadly toxin. A few bad apples can take down a great community like this, so we have to be a stickler on this point. Rest assured, this site will remain a safe, engaging, fun and and spam-free environment for all moms. We have already banned members for spam violations.

Thank you for your support, and for making this such a great resource for so many moms! Have fun!

I'm glad that there is a guideline for posting site links and spamming. I got a message in my twittermom inbox with a subject that didn't look like a spam, but when I opened it, there it was a spam. Really wasn't expecting it. But, I'm glad you're taking the bull by the horn Megan! Great job!

I may be new here, but am relieved to see there is concern over spam - that issue has caused me to leave many social networks in the past... thanks - many kudos!

Thanks Megan for the tips. I think its a wonderful idea. I think that all us TwitterMoms have to stick together. I will definitely make not of these cool support options. My best skill is graphic design and I ouwld be glad to create a free custom banner for any mom that would like one. I will be posting a few sample banners that I have previously created. IS this ok? I hope so and thank again.I think twitterMoms is the best. Finally I can connect to other moms like me.

Megan,
I'm new to Twitter moms but you've already made me feel at home. Thanks. I hope to learn alot from all the creative, smart, hardworking moms that hang out here to share.

Does anyone know where I can get information on the various stages of Alzheimer's in Florida? I have a friend who is at her wit's end in trying to deal with her mother. She keeps coming to me to talk but I have no experience in this area.
