Well, this year the Calhoun family will be celebrating the fourth with a parade and picnic in our little town of Ross. It's so freakin cute! The kids decorate their bikes, trikes, wagons, strollers and themselves and parade down main street (all 3 blocks of it). Then we gather in the Ross Commons for a town picnic - there is face painting and games for the kids - it's too cute!

What are your plans this year?

It is so fun to read everyone's traditions. We spend July 4th with friends we adore in California. I cook for three days and we eat for a week. I just got a Jessie Steele apron for the occasion. On the menu - Chicken and asparagus roll-ups, open-face Mozzarella hamburgers on country french bread, homemade basil and sun dried tomato pizza, red white and blue cake. Oh darn - Better get on the treadmill.

This is unusual for us...we are normally on vacation every summer at this time but we are home this yr. I think we will just hang out at home and probably cook out....

Here in France, we are throwing our annual 4th of July BBQ complete with fireworks, bbq, swimming and very loud music to piss off all of our French neighbors who don't know why we're celebrating!!! Hoping for a good turnout of expats this year!

My hubby and I were planning on a date night, going to see the fireworks without the kids, which would've been really nice....but, turns out our 11 year old didn't want to miss them...so we're leaving the babies and taking him with us.

Yes, we are the best. I know.

We will be celebrating on Saratoga Lake in Saratoga Springs, NY. We will have a number of friends up there with us to BBQ, boat, fish, watch lots of fireworks, eat Smores and drink our fair share of cold beverages. We will have some kids there with us, including my 22 mth old which makes things that much more fun! My hubby;s 35th b-day is July 5th so we will celebrate that as well! Enjoy and Happy 4th!!!

Having Family come for 4 days - it will be a celebration every day. This is one of my favorite holidays. It's stress-less compared to Christmas :)

We are having our annual cook out with the same group of friends. It's great because they have alot of children like we do. I love surrounding myself with other couples with tons of kids! No stress to be with out my boys.

We are hosting a BBQ at our house and will watch the fireworks from our backyard. I'm sure there's lots to do around town, but it's going to be too stinking HOT!
