We're roadtripping it to our neighboring states this summer.

Kids and I already did an 8-day trip around North Dakota and had a blast.

We'll take Hubby along when we spend a week at a lake, and hope to travel Iowa's Lincoln Highway later this summer.

Our only in stone plans at the moment is a week long trip with our boat to Lake Havasu. Otherwise, it'll probably be lots of day trips to the beautiful so cal beaches!

We're going on a camping trip to upstate New York in August. We go up every year for the Nascar race at Watkins Glen and turn it into a family vacation in the mountains.

Heading up to Ithaca, NY to drop my oldest at Cornell for a summer class for high school jr/srs. We also have a 3.5 and 1.5 yr old.....and would like to vacation with them somewhere in upstate NY or on way home to Maryland. Any ideas? We do not know that are at all! Thanks.

We have been so busy this year, we are going to do absolutely nothing! Well of course after we visit the grandparents. But then I plan on relaxing by the pool and spending "real" time with my children, do stuff with my kids that my parents did with me, like plant tomatoes, take walks... Real time does not actually happen too often during the school year because we are always running around to TOO many different activities. I want to make my home a place where the kids can enjoy and feel relaxed.

This economy has kicked our butts this year,
so of course in cutting back on expenses,
a Vacation is one of the first things to get knocked off the list! BOO!
(It's a get to... not a have to.)

So a Staycation it is then... As in, staying home with no vacation... LOL!
But we will definitely hit up Disneyland a few times, because we have annual passes!! : )

We first planned to go to Seabrook Island, but then that fell thru. Next we were off to Florida to visit old neighbors, but then the kids' activities mess that up. My hubby kept his vacation time and he and I repainted the kitchen and laid a new hardwood floor last week. Fun vacation??? Now, I'm going to sit back, enjoy the kids, and cook in my new fresh kitchen.

Hi Megan, I'm heading to New York on Tuesday. First for business; I'm visiting the au pair school where Cultural Care Au Pair provides 30 additional classroom hours for our au pairs. I am a local childcare coordiator with this program. Then off to the city to visit my daughter. Lots of good eats are planned.

Then a pleasure trip to Ireland in July with DH. Just returned from Hong Kong with a girlfriend who lectured there. Sightseeing and "some" shopping were enjoyed by us gal pals.

Sorry I am missing the presentation on Monday. Sounds really exciting.

I love that! I remember doing all that when I was a child. We let our youngest help plant our garden and when we get back from our trip she will probably be helping again if the rain does not cooperate.

I love Lake Placid for camping. I took my kids there a few years back and we had a blast. It is a beautiful place and hopefuly will be going back with new fella so he can experience it as well.
