What Do You Really Want For Mother's Day?

This year Mother's Day is on Sunday, May 10th. Have you thought about how you want to spend that day?

What would a dream Mother's Day look like for you? Would you stay in bed all day and ring a soft bell? Or, would you go to brunch with a group of mom friends at your favorite local restaurant? Maybe, you might simply cozy up with the family and ask the children to write down their favorite mom story.

What if your husband, family or friends asked you right now what you want to do on this day. What would you say? Do tell. Share your ideas, be creative and go for it.

Sometimes we don't get what we need as moms because we aren' t clear about what we want. Start practicing now.

Live fully,

Mia

My wish for Mother's day....is breakfast at the table....done the whole breakfast in bed thing...didn't really enjoy it. A nice long shower (without interruptions) kitchen clean and kids dressed by the time i am out....by hubby of course, because on Mother's day he would magical know what to do without me asking him to. Then, a nice afternoon at our favorite park, where we would play and have a picnic. Finally, get home....spend time with the kids (without worrying about laundry, cleaning and dinner) order dinner in....give the kids a bath and put them to bed.....take another warm shower get in bed early and watch TV with a nice warm cup of tea.

I want to sleep in late (past 6 am), have breakfast in bed, paint fingers and toes with my daughter, get a massage, and completely ignore ANY housework or "to do list" items for the day. I'd also love to go somewhere and for once have Daddy make sure we have everything we need (diapers, snacks, wipes, change of clothes, etc..). But it's Mother's Day not Wishful Thinking Day, LOL. So I will be happy with the sleeping in, ecstatic about the massage, and grateful for my beautiful family.

I got part of MD's present, a Wii Fit... Hubsters knew I was looking for one so when we were at Sam's he picked it up for me. But I would love a day of not having to plan. Seems like it is all I do, plan and execute... gets boring! I want to spend the day at home, No Mom's house, or step mom-in-law or mom-in-laws house. We can do that the day before or the day after (again planned by hubby not me) and when the in-laws call I want him to tell them NO, we are staying home. Then I want to maybe have pizza delivered and then take a walk or go shopping and spend what we spend on him for FDay. (he goes charter fishing) Then just relax and enjoy the 2 girls in my life that made me a mom! (now stand by until after 5/10 to see if this happens)

I would have my husband take the boys all day. I would get to sit at my house and do whatever I wanted. No cleaning, just eating ice cream and playing games, reading my book, and taking a bath. That is honestly what I want...to actually for one day not be in constant demand or clean up mode! I would probably miss everybody after about 4 hours, but it would be nice!

I wake up to a day of sunshine, birds singing, beautiful fluffy clouds drifting by in rhythm to my personal theme song: "I hope you dance". I pull out my PowerBall ticket to discover I have won the jackpot!!!! I float down the stairs perfectly coiffed, having the best hair day only to discover that my husband and children have cleaned every room in the house without any suggestion on my part. A lovely meal awaits me out on the porch, every surface is covered with fresh flowers in all the colors of the rainbow. Each beautiful bud greets me on the wind in a competition for the attention of my nose. The melange of fragrances dance around me in celebration of this special day. zzzzzzz...... huh?? what??? Dear Lord, I'm dreaming again.
