What form of FUN excercise gives you the most benefit?

  • Rating: No Rating
Hello everyone,

I have faithfully used the treadmill for years, a couple times a week, for about 1 hour each time. While, I don't see any weight loss results, I don't want to give it up because its a good cardio workout (I jog for about 40 minutes and walk for 20) and do work up a good sweat) and I feel better having done it. Not to mention, I watch tv while doing it. But I want to shed some weight and get toned, but I just can't seem to embrace any other form of excercise. I bought a beginners pilates DVD and haven't put it in the player yet (its been a week). So, if you could share with me some of your favorite forms, maybe one will click and I can finally start to tone up and lose some lbs. Thanks in advance for your comments!!

Tae Bo is a great workout. It is challenging in the beginning but Billy keeps you motivated enough to get through it. The more I do it the more I love it!!

I have been using the P90X workout this summer, and my husband has also picked it up. It's intense, but I find it's better for men and not as effective for me. I really need cardio. I have picked up running in the last 2 years, and have run a couple of half-marathons. When I'm training for a run, I get up early and go for a long run, usually back by 8am. This gives me a chance to get some 'me-time' and enjoy what I love doing and the scenery I see before most people are up. While I'm gone, my husband gets the kids up and ready for school/camp.

Good luck!

I have been going to 24 hour fitness classes for a few years. It has been the most fun exercising routine because I get to exercise with a group of people. They usually have fun music and instructors who can help with postures. They have yoga / step / zumba classes.
Hope this helps!
