twitter moms: the influential moms network

Hi Ladies,

I am conducting a survey on bad habits and would love your input. What is one of your bad habits? Also, how have you stopped indulging in bad habits in the past.

My biggest bad habit has been procrastination. I have improved it by dangling a carrot in front of my face and promising to do something fun after completing the dreaded task. But I do realize that I am a work in progress.

What is your experience?

Today, my bad habit is staying on TMs too long when I have work to do! I am obviously going to have to set more time aside for TM.

Mine is "networking" / surfing when I should be working. I am self employed, so no work means no pay!! Dern twitter, facebook, blogs and forums!! Too many great people to meet. Well, I say it is all because of my online design studio, but I know better!!

I know exactly what you mean. When I am procrastinating, I crave sweets. I always know when it's procrastination because the treats never taste quite as good as I would like. As soon as I do the task I have been putting off, my cravings go away.

What do you do to combat it?

One of my bad habits...hot wings...so not healthly but I just have to eat them at least once per month :) I have to confess I have not tried to stop.

My bad habit is sweets! I love sweets, but I do eat in moderation though. Like if I eat a candy bar I only take a few bites, it actually takes me two days to finish it lol!

Wow! Are you French? You know that's how French women eat. I am just going to be honest and admit I do not have the patience or inclination to eat one candy bar in 2 days. I am so impressed. How do you do it?

My husband loves wings with barbeque sauce. He used to get me my own order of 10 wings, but I could never finish them. Now he gets me 5 and I still have trouble eating them all. He at least will take the skin off, but I eat skin and all. I love anything crunchy, so I delve into the tiny part of the wing that has no meat, and I wlll eat whatever part is crunchy. And let me tell you, there is no remnants of meat when I am finished. I am smiling just thinking about it. :-)

Being brutally honest. Sometimes my clients do not want to hear the truth. They rather me tell them a lie.

@WickedCrownInc, I understand about the brutally honest. I was sooo "honest" that my mother had to say, "Patrice, just because it is the truth, doesn't mean you have to say it." I was surprised, that had never crossed my mind, but I also wasn't in business either. Do your clients eventually appreciate your honesty?

@Martha Howie, you know why I get mad at your nail biters? Because when you do decide to stop biting your nails, they are long and beautiful. I have never bitten my nails and they never look like that. :-) Can you tell I'm a little bitter? LOL. My oldest brother still bites his nails. I think it is nerves. But when he was a teenager he would bit them so low that he was missing parts of his nail in the middle/side of his fingers. I hear it is challenging to break. I remember watching the Dr. Phil show and he said you never get rid of habits only exchange them for new ones. I thought he was just full of it, but now I can see how that is true.

@Jo-Ann, when you try it, let me know if it worked?

Hmm...Ok...I will. I am going to think about that other habit and see how that works. :-)
