I don't make resolutions, I have a big list of goals that I set. It's time to go over last years and see where I stand. lol

I know the networking has been kicked up about 12 notches higher than expected.

I will set some of the regular goals of health and budgeting money. But truly I have lists of goals to hit that those resolutions are by products of hitting those goals.

I don't set my goals until after Christmas and then it is a full-scale project for the week. I get really really excited about a new year - I review the year past, give myself some gold stars and pats on the back for things accomplished, celebrate again the celebrations and happy times, and then start looking at the brand new year.

I even have a free e-workbook for Goalsetting with Pictures.

and two squidoo lenses that might be helpful to you too - Goals or Resolutions and How to Set Goals with Pictures

Obviously I am a nut about goalsetting -- hope some of this is helpful to you! and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all! Set a goal that you think is impossible to achieve - and then make yourself believe it! And most of all, have fun with it all!

I too plan goals and not so much resolutions. I have several that I came up with after some reflection and I'll probably add more! In fact, I have a motto for the New Year and I invite others to join in. I call it I'm going to SHINE in 2009

I haven't done mines yet. I do have my one "will not" resolution though...
I won't "throw my pearls to pigs". Basically, that means I won't give anything that is valuable to me (time, energy, money, etc.) to those who don't understand/appreciate its value!

My resolution is to not really have any resolutions. I mean I will have short term goals, meet them and add more realistic goals. I am in a group of 10 ladies that meet each month for lunch and set 5 goals each month in different areas of our lives

Self
Family
Home
Excersize
Project

This way is really much easier to cross off resolutions (goals) completed

This months self goal was to maintain current level of weight loss and blood sugar control (I am predibetic)
Family goal this month was to get Christmas cards address and mailed
Home goal this month was to decorate for the holiday
Excersize goal was to continue with learning Yoga (stalled because I ruputred a disk in my upper lumbar)
Project goal is to finish store items

All projects except my excersize one is completed. We have a chart and once those are done we can list others that we may have also completed. It is so nice to write them down so we can actually see the major progress we have done.

I also do not do resolutions. Instead, I make goals and I always focus on actions I can control.

Here's a few for the next year.
1. Exercise 3-5 times per week.
2. Work on self development 15 minutes per day
3. Write 2 articles per month
4. Blog 2 times per week
5. Network online 3 times per week.
6. Have one date night with hubby per month. ( this may sound crazy, but with three small children, it's an accomplishment)
7. Devote Friday night as family night

BELIEVE Success!
