What kind of a wedding did you have ??

I got secretly married to my husband on Mauritius, knee-deep in the Indian Ocean in my white dress and my husband in his creamcolour suit.
I had Orchids in my hair (that kept falling out because of the very strong wind on that day) and a beautiful orchid wedding bouquet.

We had the most amazing cake, a guitarplayer singing "have I told you lately" (I get tears in my eyes when I think of it) and all the champaign that could be found in the resort.

This now is 8 years ago and I would do it again at this same divine spot and most important..... with the same guy !

There were the two of us, my three children, my mother, and the minister. It was in the sanctuary of our church....I had a knee length white lace dress, he and my son wore black suits, my girls wore light blue dresses, and my mother wore a dark blue dress. We only had our witnesses there so my husband and me and my best friend and her husband.
Very intimate.

Permalink Reply by Mary on December 5, 2008 at 2:35pm: We first married in a civil wedding....very lame and simple :-S eight years later my husband prepared a Surprise Catholic wedding for us....he proposed after making love to me in the most romantic and intimate way....I love that man!! Our wedding was in xmas so the colors were red and cream (although the pics showed everyhting white instead) We married in December 31st so we we got to celebrate our wedding and the New Year's eve at once!!; ▶ Reply to This

whenever i hear "have I told you lately" I see myself standing on the beach in the water and I get this warm feeling inside.

We had a short 10 minute ceremony given by an old family friend (no minister, etc.), and afterwards the fog rolled in and brought a mystical feeling with it. Well we secretly married at the court house then threw a beautiful wedding. We were in an enormously beautiful banquet hall. My bridesmaids were in olive green. My mom made my flwoers. They were burnt orange, red, and green. They were fake. I loved them. My hubby and groomsmen were in white as well as me. It was magical.
