What makes women beautiful? Best Answer from Beautiful Brea!

  • Rating: 5 after 6 votes

Here's Brea's answer: I truly believe that the ability to take life in stride, to be able to hold one's own is beautiful. Being able to see the humor in any situation, that's beautiful.

Confidence - in who she is, what she is about and what she stands for - a total attraction magnet - plus is reflective of a persona with inner beauty and strength - also signs of beauty to me.

I think the women who are most beautiful shine from the inside out. When a woman is lit up inside with faith and purpose and from living a life she loves, she exudes grace, sensuality and joy. I have a dear friend, Jane, who is 85 years old. I never get tired of looking at her! She has the clearest eyes and most beautiful smile. It's her exuberance for life and God that keeps her youthful. She's who I think of when I think of a beautiful woman ... it's the sort of beauty that is ageless!

Ok What does confidence look like or is it a feeling you get from someone ? Is it the way you hold yourself? speak? dress? are you not afraid to laugh at yourself?

Confidence is exuded when a woman is at ease with herself - comfortable in her own skin .... I believe real confidence comes from practicing implicit trust in a Higher Intelligence. What greater confidence can there be than to know that we're tapped in to a benevolent Source that guides our every move? When we rely on such a Source, we exude a confidence that has little to do with style, appearance or education ... it's a confidence that comes from knowing we are taken care of - it an inside out sort of deal ....

That being said, why does it seem that it's the least discussed, least covered in the media, blogs, social networking sites, etc... when it comes to beauty?

For those that do cover it (Oprah now has a spiritual section in her "O" magazine) who is doing it well?

I agree with Lynne, faith in God makes you beautiful, gracious, kind, considerate and caring, the list can go on forever.

Motherhood makes women beautiful. I blogged about this at http://singlemomandmore.com/blog/2008/10/14/motherhood-is-sexy/ - after Halle Barry was crowned the Sexiest Woman Alive by Esquire magazine. Even she questions why it took her having a baby at 42 for her to get that coveted title.

I think it's the eyes. No matter how young or old a woman is, no matter how rich or poor, her true beauty will shine through her eyes. I even wrote a poem about it:

You can be beautiful outside but if you are ugly inside it shows. Like Working Mom of 2 said CHARACTER. What is inside shows outwardly.

We women know the true meaning of beauty ~ all listed right here. Too bad our cultural standards are off-track and we end up chasing some elusive definition of perfection that doesn't exist ~ We end up competitive and discontent with our not-so-perfect, but lovely-just-the-same body parts. Conversations like these, I believe, are where we can start to make a difference and be reminded of and appreciate real beauty inside and out.
