What makes you happy?

I am here watching the news this morning and listening to everything that is not right in the world. I began to wonder , with so much destruction, hatred, judgments , hardships, hell the economy being what it's not. What makes you happy?

Love, peace and happiness! Okay, seriously for me, there's nothing like reading a good book, rollerskating, riding a bicycle, and dancing to my favorite rhythm and blues hits! I try to do one of these things daily as part of my "me" time.

It is the simple things that make me happy. My husband's smile or laugh, my son and all of his accomplishments and when all else fails my 2 collies Bentley & Hampton. Sometime you just have to turn the news off and put the paper down not to get to pulled into all the negativity.

My kids happy,my husband happy,Barnes & Noble,CHANEL,Narciso Rodriguez & Michael Kors perfume,my hair blown out at the salon,a relaxing pedicure........... but truely I am happy when I load my baby Jake in the stroller and walk by the beach. Especially on a gorgeous San Diego day like today.

My son's smile! I find no greater joy than seeing his smile each day ... it's an ever-present reminder of the legacy that we as parents are charged with leaving behind in our children.

My family makes me happy. For me personally it is simple as that. I love my husband and my two children. As long as everything is okay with my family I am happy.
Other things that make me happy are of course shopping and having a day off. Unfortunately this is very rarely but every time I can do it I really enjoy it and it makes me very happy. =)

What makes me happy......forgetting my age and acting like a nut with my children, running in the morning with my dog, date nights with hubby, sewing, finding a new magazine in the mailbox, a meal cooked from scratch and a long soak in the tub are a few simple things that make me happy.

What makes me happy is hearing my children laugh. I enjoy things when I know that they are happy. Regarless what is going on around them or myself. Another thing that makes me happy is when I can get a peace of mind. (Sometimes I just need a peace of mind to register things "clearly").
