Do you know that feeling when you are celebrating your favorite team winning
a closely contested football game or your daughter completing a very difficult
piano solo for her recital - flawlessly? You can't wipe the smile off your face;
you are cheering, clapping and have a feeling of elation. Did you know that
you can create that feeling in the warmth and comfort of your very own home.

I want to offer a wild and fun thought. Each night between Christmas and
New Year's day choose one movie and enjoy popcorn,
cut up fruit or tea and be inspired.

After the movie, write down your thoughts about your business, your life,
your goals and your vision for your life and how you can make it happen.

Getting the adrenaline pumping and feeling the tension
released from the movie will truly free up your creativity.

If you are a movie lover and want to try this for just one week, I would love to hear your
reactions and results.

Ready?

I definitely agree with this list... and those in the comments. This last comment by Colleen brought in my #1 CHOICE for the top inspirational movie. The Pursuit of Happyness brought together not only great acting but a great story of survival against all odds. If you firmly believe in yourself and you never let go of that belief you will succeed in whatever you choose!

I also like (some already named):

Rudy
Field of Dreams
Mr. Holland's Opus
October Sky
A Beautiful Mind
Dead Poets Society
Frequency
The Rookie
Dangerous Minds
Music of the Heart
Renaissance Man
Pay It Forward
Finding Neverland
The Bucket List
Sea Biscuit
Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium
Erin Brockovich
A League of their Own
Man of Honor

Oh, I could talk about movies all day! I have different movies for different levels of inspiration:

Working Girl - To make a difference in the world of men - women rule the workplace (even the evil ones)
Hoosiers - a great underdog story
Rocky (only the original for me) - against all odds, proves himself, and then loses. Genius.
Bleu - get me out of that funk
La Femme Nikita - reform is certainly possible for all kinds
The Constant Gardener - one against the world, or even large pharmaceutical companies
The Contender (with Joan Allen) - A very favorite, not just for the great cast and performances, but the message and display of double standards. Inspiring indeed.
Million Dollar Baby - gotta love the persistence

There are so many more, but must get back to work and stop this procrastinating!

Here is one that I didn't see anyone else mention.
With Honors - a fairly old movie with Joe Pesci as a bum at Harvard, don't want to give it all away but it is a great and inspiring move at least for me

Another good one I didn't see listed is
Mona Lisa Smile - Julia Roberts is an instructor at Wellesley and challenges the norm rather than just live the way others feel you should

The Pursuit of Happiness is one of my all time favorites. And then meeting Chris Gardner in person and hearing his story was HUGE. And my most recent favorite - Marley and Me.

BELIEVE Success!

What a great idea! I love films and am inspired by so many, it's hard to choose. I am also inspired in so many different ways but I think in general I am most inspired by people discovering how love really can conquer all and I don't just mean romantic love. Love truly can heal all things and brings such wonderful gifts to people's hearts like the power of learning how to forgive. Here are a few films that do it for me:

Schindler's List
The Wizard of Oz
A Room With a View
My Life as a Dog
Terms of Endearment
Crimes of the Heart
Sense & Sensibility
Farewell My Concubine
Cinema Paradiso
The Kite Runner
Can You Hear the Mermaid's Singing?
Giant
Casablanca
The Way We Were
Wings of Desire
Dead Man Walking

It shows my age a bit, but I love, love the movie Baby Boomer and Working Girl! It always makes me feel like I can do anything.
