If you did get one, did you wish you could put him in the doghouse? If so watch this Ad promotion for JC Penny- it's hilarious. LOL!

The video is way too funny...I have learned to tell my sister what I would like and she gently gives a few hints to my husband. Then he comes out smelling like a rose on holidays and anniversaries!

My husband usually does a great job but last year I was really unhappy with alot of decisions he'd made without me and (because of those decisions) we had no money when my birthday rolled around. But anything (even nothing) would've been better than what I got.

He wrote a nice card about how he was really sorry about how everything had gone down and that his present to me was that I was in charge now and he would just do whatever I told him.

A. Not possible.

B. Sounds to me like he just didn't want to deal with life and wanted me to be responsible for him.

C. I don't need another child.

I was pretty offended.
Hope things are going better for you both....that sounds pretty stressful.

Well, I got some really ugly button-up-to-the-neck flannel nightgowns from my ex husband when he was cheating on me. Does that count? At the time, it didn't make sense. In retrospect...

Oh that counts as a bad present all right! Shame on him, hope you got rid of those pajamas and bought yourself some real nice ones!

Really smart advertising! Hysterical. My husband bought an elliptical machine one year about a month or so before Christmas. Christmas came and the presents were ok. When he saw I wasn't overjoyed, he reminded me he spent alot on the elliptical machine. I didn't even use it! He is the one who wanted it! It is funny, though. Guys seem to think, the more they spend the happier we'll be.

Ahhh this is new! You didn't like the Christmas presents so he reminded you of his prior purchase. Got to give him credit for trying!

I once mentioned needing a special table for my sewing machine to fit into. When Christmas came around I gave him a few ideas, pearl earrings and a few other things I can't even remember now. He went shopping. It had been months since I mentioned the sewing table and yet his mom had said something about it the previous day so it was on my mind but since it wasn't just a go in and get it gift (needed to be custom) I never thought it would be that. When he called on his way home he said "I got your present and you are going to love it". He was so excited and so was I (he was a really bad gift giver and this was a grand effort). The first darn thing that came out of my mouth was "as long as it's not a sewing table I will be thrilled!" Oh boy did I burst his bubble. It was a sewing table, a really nice one that was special made to fit my machine. I felt really bad but the worst part is he has never bought me a gift since. At first it drove me nuts but now I love it. I buy whatever I really want "from him" and don't have to worry about it. This year he got me a new digital camera and accessories for it. The box is wrapped up but the camera is out and in use. I couldn't be happier.

BTW - I don't sew anymore and got rid of the table when I ditched the broken machine years ago. It was hard to give up that table even though I had no use for it.

I think most women here agree with you that they like to give him a list or buy their own gifts . Is it OK that there is no element of surprise ?

An oil funnel for my car from Husband #1. That was our last Christmas before the divorce. Husband #2 is more thoughtful all the way around.
