The worst gift what I got from a boyfriend, was a book-wonderful bestseller-
with a few very romantic nice words on the first page-only it was addressed to another girl....
You think I was sending him only to a doghouse?
B.W. The video is really funny....
My now ex husband was really busy around Christmas time. I did almost all of the shopping for gifts. Our last year together I said, don't worry about getting me anything. I shouldn't have said that. What I meant was, don't go crazy, I'm not expecting a big gift.
So all I got that year from him was some Chapstick. That's it. I think he felt bad because for a few years after we were divorced he gave me thoughtful gifts.
I saw that - I love it and sent it to my husband.
One year he gave me a paper shredder. Another I got a Brita water filter. Now I give him a list each year.
Vanilla scented musk. It kept me constantly hungry, so I had to stop wearing it (which upset him, but...).
My husband gave me, "running a marathon together" last year. Running is the one thing I do for myself and the gift was to invade my space? The thought was nice but I'm still trying to figure out where the gift for me is in him running his first marathon.
The WORST gift I ever got from my husband happened to be for my birthday this year. He went out the afternoon of my birthday. He came home with two oversized guy T-shirts...gave me the bag and said, "Here, stop wearing mine." He was totally joking around, and if you look deeper into the scenerio, it was actually a very thoughtful gift! It's what I always wear around the house as a WAHM! I think it was the lack of pre-thought into the gift that bothered me...Goes to show how shallow I can still be getting upset over a gift!
I saw that video and I loved it! Over the 19 years we've been married, I have learned to write out a wish list. In the early years, he once gave me a glue gun which I was a little less than appreciative of...he just couldn't understand why I wasn't overjoyed!
My husband gave me a glue gun a few years ago and I was completely excited when I unwrapped my gift. I guess it just goes to show that there's no magic formula when it come to shopping for women.
My worst Christmas gift was nothing at all. We had gifts for the kids, for the entire family as well as friends, I had several gifts for him, but there wasn't one item under the tree for me. I'm the one that did all the shopping so maybe he though I was going to get myself something from him.
