What Was Your Favorite Soap Opera When You Were A Teenager?
Was it General Hospital, The Young and the Restless or Days of Our Lives? Did you grow up watching your mom's soap opera like me? Maybe you still watch them today! Which ones were your favorites?

Since we moved to this country in 1981, and my Mom was never a soap opera watcher (not even telenovelas) I sorta started all on my own in 1984, with a new soap opera called 'Santa Barbara'. Oh did I looooooooove it!!! My favorite was Robin Wright (Penn) as Kelly, man was she good! Nothing will ever hold up in my mind to that soap. I just got swept away in it. Still a big fan of all the original actors for it. Even now after years that SB was cancelled when I see the original cast on other soaps I say "Oh, that person was in Santa Barbara!". :D

I was a big fan of Santa Barbara...Cruz and Eden were the best. I also watched All My Children and General Hospital.
While I stayed at home with my daughter after she was born, I started watching Days of Our Lives. However, now, I don't watch any of them. The funny thing is now, I can flip through the channels and catch a show - and it seems to picks up right where it left off.

I began watching General Hosptial at age 18, as a new bride! I dropped it on and off over the years and now I am quite happily hooked again.

It was One Life to Live. I started watching it when I was 12 and still watch it to this day. I've tried stopping every now and then, and didn't watch during college, but always came back to it. I know these characters longer than many of my friends.

All My Children, One Life to Live and General Hospital. When my husband was in college, all the guys used to gather in the living room area of the dorm and watch All My Children, too funny!

Guiding Light was probably my favorite growing up, but my mom also watched Young & The Restless and As The World Turns. It seems strange to me that my mom watched soaps with us as kids, but I guess she didn't have a great social outlet like the internet or mom's clubs.

The first soaps I ever watched were on ABC - Ryan's Hope, All My Children, One Life To Live, General Hospital and Edge Of Night. I still watch ABC soaps to this day.

I totally watched Y&R from a small child til now. My Grandparents watched it for years and me staying with them all summers and anytime when we didn't have school! Catherine Chancelor needs to hurry up and get her memory back and kick Jills Bootie once and for all!!!
