What Was Your Favorite Soap Opera When You Were A Teenager?

Was it General Hospital, The Young and the Restless or Days of Our Lives? Did you grow up watching your mom's soap opera like me? Maybe you still watch them today! Which ones were your favorites?

What a fun question!
My soap opera viewing can be broken down by networks. Not that I remember any of the story lines or characters, but my Mom and I would watch all the NBC soaps in the 70's - Days of Our Lives, The Doctors, Another World, and there was one that was pretty short lived that came on just after Another World - I think it was called How to Survive a Marriage(?)
Junior High and High school years it was ABC - Ryan's Hope, All My CHildren, One Life to Live, GH, and Edge of Night.
I'm happy to say I kicked the soap habit :o)

All My Children was my favorite. I loved to watch Nina & Cliff. They worked so hard to be together – so sweet – so much love!! I’ve always been such a romantic.
Then there is Erica Kane. Who can live with all that drama? But you got to love her charisma and sense of style. I always loved how she reinvented her look!!

Young and the Restless and General Hospital were my fav's.
I watched All my children as well.
I listened to my mom and grandmother talking about soap operas and
thought they were having discussions about real life people. (lol)
Megan you are so right about the same story lines.
I haven't followed them in years now.

Yes....Dark Shadows....the only soap I watched as a teenager! I would rush home to catch it right after school.
Now, I think it is called Twilight...;)

It was on in reruns when I was working and my husband would tape it and we'd watch it during dinner. It was filmed live and they made a lot of goofs; Dr. Collins was looking at something under the microscope and said something about '... looking at something under the "microphone". lol. I was fascinated with the subject matter.

Yes! Dark Shadows was awesome! my mom got me into it :) I think I was about 5 LOL
