What's your biggest parenting challenge right now?

It could really drag me to my wits end having to deal with 3 different parenting stages right now, i.e. with a 5 yo, a 2 yo, and a newborn. If they were triplets in one age bracket it would perhaps be a less confusing. We somehow manage by practicing good communication, i.e. calm, objective, and pro-active; relationship building; compassion; packing a ton of patience; and retreat when the heat is turned on. It can only get more rewarding when we find ourselves in a very smooth day.

What's yours and how do you cope? If you're seeking tips and advice this could be a good discussion. We could learn from each other. :)

Sounds very full, Sue!

If your 3 year old is "refusing" to be potty trained, then I encourage you to look at the methods you are using. Also consider your tone and attitude with it. I've written a popular potty training series that you can find on my site - www.childperspective.com

Keep me posted on your thoughts and progress.

Good luck!
Emily

I am at the point where I am at different parenting stages too, with a 3 yo, 10 yo and 3 teenagers. The teenagers are the most difficult to deal with right now. They are so demanding at this point in life. Help! Help! Help! For the 3 yo, she refuses to be potty trained. We have tried everything with her, and nothing works or has worked. PLZ HELP! My 10 yo is the easiest to deal with right now. Nothing difficult with him at this point. If you have any suggestions on any of these matters please feel free to send it my way. It would be greatly appreciated.
