It just hit 23 degrees here in Illinois. Thanks to the wind chill, it feels like 9.
Brrr....

I am thankful for warm soup, Ugg boots, and Polar fleece.

What's it like where you are and how are you keeping warm (if it's cold)?

We drove through the upper south to return to Illinois a few days ago; it was a little steam bath over the weekend. It made central Illinois seem quite nice!

A beautiful day and clear, cool night for a moon festival. The full moon is great at this time of year--sit out, drink tea, eat cake :)

Today is clear, cooler than usual, and nice for central Illinois.

Yesterday driving through rural Champaign County I saw lots of acres of beans harvested, grain trucks along the sides of the road, and combines unloading into them.

But then a driving raise came and all went quiet for the night. Today's strong winds will have the combines back in the field as it dries the dirt quickly. I love watching the harvest!

Finally, some normal weather after the deep freeze and the flood! The sun shines, the weather is cool and dry, and the harvest moves on :)

The stars have been wonderful over my house lately. Venus is quite evident. Light pollution is so much less and the stars so much brighter.

Well, the new year has arrived in Illinois. A freezing Illinois! The stars are bright and the blue moon so beautiful for the new year.

Here in Puerto Rico is 80-95 degrees...pretty nice!! The island is located in the Caribbean and it is a US territory, it is also called the Enchantress Island!!! To keep ourselves cold we just use the central a/c :-)

I'm with you Vanessa! Oh, how nice it would be to be further south-- in the tropical zone about now.:)) I'd love a little of that!

While the weather took a turn for the worse around here for a while--it was 10 degrees last Saturday night-- suddenly it's warmer, and there seems to be a way out for the first time in a long time. I am hopeful and impatient!

Six more weeks of winter predicts the groundhog today :(
