It just hit 23 degrees here in Illinois. Thanks to the wind chill, it feels like 9.
Brrr....
I am thankful for warm soup, Ugg boots, and Polar fleece.

Pretty warm here in Queensland Australia. It is about 20 at the moment, but that would be Celsius (don't know Fahrenheit), not bad considering it is nearly winter.

No, I didn't know that! (But harrietb who started this thread will love to know :) )
But I would guess with all the sheep there, they have lots of material to make the furry boots!

Over the past two weeks, my town and surrounding areas have had 4 tornadoes, flooding, 80+ mile per hour wind, many power outages, and the list goes on and on. Texas is having some pretty bad weather!

My sympathies. Last night, about 1:30am, I spent about 45minutes in our basement--with no power--after our weather radio went off because a tornado was tracking our way. Today it's so soggy, and there are a lot of of tree limbs big and small everywhere. Ah, yes, life in the country is great :)

Well, it seems that Spring may have found us here in Illinois! the farmers are working like mad to get their crops planted--about a month behind schedule. That makes for a late harvest this year--maybe into December.

It was lovely to see all the little green corn sprouts and sunshine today as I drove into town. There may actually be a corn harvest in Illinois this year.
