When was the last time you did something to make someone smile?

The simplicity of this gift is often overlooked. But most times it's one that can totally change the course of someone's day.

When was the last time you did something to make someone smile or brighten their day and what was it?

When was the last time someone did something nice for you?

I try to do something every single day that would make at least one person smile. I make it "part of my mission." The easiest way I've found is by smiling at other people! The other big way I make people smile is by helping them achieve their goals, whether it be to lose weight, look more stylish or just feel better about themselves (www.aplusplan.com).
My baby makes me smile every single day, just by looking at me with such love, or laughing at something silly I did.
Thank you for writing this in the forum because it is probably the most important thing in everyone's lives.

The last time I did something for someone was two days ago. I cooked my mom her favorite meal for her birthday. She really enjoyed that meal lol! It made my day to see her satisfied.

Everyday, it just happend that I love seeing my 15 month old son smiling at every single thing I do. Although I made my husband smile and laughed really hard today by playing ball at home, in the kitchen it is generally not allowed but we laughed really hard. It was great. Now just by writing this on your blog I am smiling, You already made me smile about something I did a couple of hours ago, Thanks!

Hey Sarah, thanks so much for sharing and as the saying goes...smiles are contagious;) just keep passing it on. My kids get a laugh when I do something out of the ordinary...I'm the serious one in the house but once in awhile it's fun to cut up.

I am blessed enough to have a job that touches people lives on a regular basis. Home health care not only helps the clients but their family and extended family members. I try to tell corny jokes, wear fun scrubs and share interesting facts. The thing that helps the most to make them smile is asking them about their lives, ex. where did you and your husband meet, what kind of work did you do before you retired, etc. Some care takers rush in and out without compassion or empathy. I could go on and on.... want to make some one smile look deep ito their eyes and smile like you mean it, it's infectious.

Hi. I find that just using people's first names make them smile! It can be anyone from a friend, colleague to the cashier at the grocery store!
Thanks for the reminder Jamie! I will do this today :)

I threw a surprise birthday party for someone who had a terrible birthday a few weeks ago.

Generally though, I habitually say things to complete strangers to either make them laugh or just feel something good. It works most of the time and so far no one has looked at me weird.

I love this question, because it takes the focus off of ourselves... today I helped throw a fall festival party for my second grader's class. Between the gourd bowling, crafts and cookie decorating stations, we saw a lot of smiles... but of course, knowing that Halloween is tomorrow might have something to do with all that grinning! :)

2 minuts ago, I told my half brother that I would be home for his birthday. I don't realla have the mony to get home to him, but i'll get them in time, I just can't go to the one party I have been wating for all year. But when he smiles i will smile with him and that is what really counts. SMILE
