Wrinkle Creams worth it or waste of money?

I just spent another $27.00 on wrinkle cream. This time Avon. I've used Oil of Olay, Loreal, Clinque, etc...

One brand better than another or just a plain waste of money?

I know I can't cheat Mother Nature and Father Time, and I certainly can't afford Dr.s Nip and Tuck, but just wanting to hear from anybody who thinks they have benefited from over the counter topical wonders!

Your thoughts?

I have tried Oil of Olay and a few others with mixed results. I am now using Arbonne. It is comparable to dept store lines prices and you can save 20% as a preferred customer.

I can send you free samples if you are interested.

I use Avon & love it.(Also Sell it) It works for my sensitive skin. If you find that is does not work for you , you can give it back to your rep for a refund & keep trying different kinds of Avon until you get it right. Ask your rep to do a skin analysis for you & maybe that will help. Good luck! Also, give it a little while to work ;)

I use oil of Olay too. My grandmother used it for years and at 84 yrs old she still had skin of a 30 yr old. Beautiful. I'd swear by it. Depending on how old you are..

Thanks for the replies. Sometimes I think good genes play a big role too, unfortunately I didn't get the good skin gene! My skin is very fair (red head) and dry, so not real tolerant to sun. I really need to keep it hydrated.

Thanks Moms!

I have used Oil of Olay for a long time. Just tried a new one from a company called It Works. It's more of a gel. I have noticed a difference. I just ordered their cleanser and toner too.
Here's a link, if you want to read more about it.

Ouch! Pricey! Does it repair or is it something that washes down the drain in the shower and you start all over again? I guess that's another big question, is how many of these really help repair your skin or is it a quick fix when applied?

I've been using Oil of Olay moisterizer then applying the Anew (Avon) eye wrinkle cream. That's really my problem target area.

Thanks.

If you’re fed up with other Anti-Aging products, I can recommend this great cellular anti-aging supplement that works very well for me.

I have to endorse Arbonne as well. They are an amazing company and their products and second to none. I do not belong to the company but have received samples from them and will be using them from now on. I don't believe the products that cost the earth have been scientifically proven to work - infact I watched a documentary that said the cheaper ones were often just as effective - it is the implementation of a regular skin care routine that pays off the most. Also as a vegan of 2 years I would say that cutting out dairy had a huge impact on my skin, reduction of cellulite one of the huge benefits but also I had dry skin and excema which vanished after a month of no dairy...just a tip!

Wow! That is interesting, I've battle adult acne all my life too. I did find a good product and have that under control. Seems like I spend so much of my time in the morning rubbing all kinds of stuff on my face. Oh well, what are you going to do :)

Thanks for the reply.

Hi Karen,

We've all purchased cosmetics that promise to deliver certain results. I think that their marketing plans are feeding off of our fears of aging. However, for the last 6 years I've been using the RE9 skin care system from Arbonne. It really delivered the results I was looking for in a product and smells like oranges. I do not sell Arbonne products, however their is several TMs that do. Before using Arbonne products, I used Proactive. Proactive can not hold a candle stick to the RE9. RE9 addressed all my skin problems and I started seeing excellent results in 4 days.

In the last year, I've discovered that the aging process has several key factors: 1) Stress; 2) Sleep habits; 3) genetics; 4) diet and exercise; 5) sun exposure and 6) the lack of moisture in our skin. Be kind to yourself and address all 6 factors. As far as over the counter topical wonders forget it. Let me know if you find the wonder product, too.

I'm trying a new anti-aging serum. After using it for 2 months I'll share with you my personal results.

I've been wondering if there is any TMs that use Sheer Cover. I've seen several info-commercials testimonies regarding the product. I've been using Arbonne's mineral powder foundation with no complaints. Our teenage daughter has been wanting to try Sheer Cover. Is there any TMs using Sheer Cover and do they love it?

Thanks,
Tammy
