Wrinkle Creams worth it or waste of money?

I just spent another $27.00 on wrinkle cream. This time Avon. I've used Oil of Olay, Loreal, Clinque, etc...

One brand better than another or just a plain waste of money?

I know I can't cheat Mother Nature and Father Time, and I certainly can't afford Dr.s Nip and Tuck, but just wanting to hear from anybody who thinks they have benefited from over the counter topical wonders!

Your thoughts?

Thanks Tammy, you are the 3rd TM to recommend Arbonne. You are right about the 6 factors and before my last 2 were born I had all 6 in check and I looked and felt great. I have defintely negelcted myself and it shows. All this and hopefully a new product now to try, I'll get back on track.

Thanks for the reply.

Hi Karen,

We've all purchased cosmetics that promise to deliver certain results. I think that their marketing plans are feeding off of our fears of aging. However, for the last 6 years I've been using the RE9 skin care system from Arbonne. It really delivered the results I was looking for in a product and smells like oranges. I do not sell Arbonne products, however their is several TMs that do. Before using Arbonne products, I used Proactive. Proactive can not hold a candle stick to the RE9. RE9 addressed all my skin problems and I started seeing excellent results in 4 days.

In the last year, I've discovered that the aging process has several key factors: 1) Stress; 2) Sleep habits; 3) genetics; 4) diet and exercise; 5) sun exposure and 6) the lack of moisture in our skin. Be kind to yourself and address all 6 factors. As far as over the counter topical wonders forget it. Let me know if you find the wonder product, too.

I'm trying a new anti-aging serum. After using it for 2 months I'll share with you my personal results.

I've been wondering if there is any TMs that use Sheer Cover. I've seen several info-commercials testimonies regarding the product. I've been using Arbonne's mineral powder foundation with no complaints. Our teenage daughter has been wanting to try Sheer Cover. Is there any TMs using Sheer Cover and do they love it?

Thanks,
Tammy

Everyone is right. Some products do work better than others and then some are proven to actually work! A healthy diet and exercise also help too, of course. When I first met my girlfriend, she was using some over the counter prestige brands as well some from her dermatologist. She really thought she had found the best money could buy but was not happy with the results she was getting. Then, she tried something else and today, she actually has younger looking skin than when we first met over 5 years ago. She is always getting compliments which makes her feel good.

I recently wrote a blog post about it. http://budurl.com/defyage

Artistry has a 6 month, money back guarantee so there's no risk in trying it yourself. We would love to hear about your results too!

I have recently been wondering the same thing. AND I'm a redhead too! Maybe we need to start a redhead skin care line ;)?

I've tried everything including the Arbonne eye cream (I used for several months) and haven't noticed a difference from any of it. Just me? Maybe. I also don't have great sleep and exercise habits so that doesn't help I'm sure.
Let me know if you find the miracle cream!

I started selling Arbonne 6 weeks ago after seeing a huge improvement in the texture and appearance of my skin after only 4 days of using one of the Re9 samples packets. I love my new job because in addition to receiving a 35% discount as an Arbonne consultant, I have sold product to many friends, and acquaintances and have been able to supplement my family's income. In 5 short weeks, I am now in qualification for District Manager. Besides that, every product I've tried so far (we have close to 500) has been nothing short of amazing, I love that the products are botanically based, Certified Vegan, and that the company has been around for 29 yrs. They were "green" before it was cool to be green.

If any of you would like to know more about Arbonne's products or the Arbonne opportunity as a business, you an send me an email at myclearskin.myarbonne.com.

Most the Creams,Lotions and Potions do not have enough Retina A or other type Acid Peel in them to do any good unless you get one from a Skin Doc,

You may be right, maybe that's another TwitterMom Group...Redheads Unite! LOL. Where we can share everything including being teased as a kid. Did you go through that?

Anyway, I decided to get back on my diet and exercise routine to see if that helps too. I'm going to document my progress on my TM blog. Please feel free to follow, comment, etc..

Thanks for the Reply

I can't afford plastic surgery either and who knows about wrinkle creams but I found a link to some facial exercises that sound pretty fantastic...might be worth giving them a try!

They promise a COMPLETE FACELIFT in 7 days without surgery! There's a whole stack of stuff...

I use Mary Kay and started selling it about a year ago. I LOVE the products! When I was preggo with my daughter it was the only thing I could use that would not irritate my skin. I just love the night solution and the firming eye cream. I use all Mary Kay products, but would have to say that those 2 are the probably the ones that make the biggest difference in how my skin acts, looks and feels. I would love to send you some free samples so you can try it for yourself. Just send me an email at krosati@marykay.com with your address and I'll send you the samples.

Also, regardless of what skin care brand you use you want to make sure to have a healthy diet and to use one product line for your face (face wash, moisturizer, etc.) as well as for your color (concealer and foundation) because product lines were made to work together. It helps prevent chemical warfare on your face and helps give you the best results. So if you really like the Avon stuff you recently bought, I would suggest using a cleanser and moisturizer from the same line.

Hope this helps your search!

Thanks Kat. My friend that I purchased the Avon from also sells Mary Kay, I will ask her for some samples. I tried Mary Kay, many many years ago when it first started (do you remember the eye shadow that you mixed with water, that's how long ago). Anyway, I bought the whole skin care treatement and it made my skin break out something awful. Again, that was a long time ago, maybe I should try again.

Thanks for the Reply.
