On Friday, February 13, 2009, The Heart Truth will roll out the red carpet for more than 20 of today’s most celebrated women to debut the 2009 Red Dress Collection, created by America’s top designers, for women’s heart health. This collection's debut is an inspiring event that celebrates the Red Dress as the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness.
Designed to warn women of their #1 health threat, The Heart Truth created and introduced the Red Dress as the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness in 2002 to deliver an urgent wakeup call to American women. The Red Dress reminds women of the need to protect their heart health, and inspires them to take action.
TwitterMoms has been invited to The Heart Truth's Sixth Annual Red Dress Collection Fashion Show during New York Fashion Week! Now we just need to choose who will be representing the community at the show. Post your comments telling us how you would best represent TwitterMoms and the Red Dress Collection Fashion Show. We will review your comments and choose one TwitterMom we feel would best represent the group. The deadline is Tuesday, Feb. 10th at 6 p.m. PST. The winner will be announced on Wednesday morning - just in time to book your flight to NYC!
The winner will be expected to attend and cover the Red Dress Collection Fashion Show via Twitter and her blog on Friday, February 13th, at 10 AM EST.
All travel to and accommodations for the Red Dress Fashion Show will need to be covered by the winner. The invitation is only for the Red Dress Fashion Show.

I would love to go and experience the Red Carpet and report back to all the Twitter moms. Fashion is really important for moms to feel good about themselves and to put their best foot forward.

I would love to be considered. I am Italian, born and raised in Rome, and I venture to say that fashion in in my blood, ok genes :)
More importantly the women in my family have had a history of heart problems and we are very aware of the importance of prevention. Heart disease may be the number 1 silent killer of women, but we an change that!
I have done some fashion reporting in the US and Italy and would love to do it for Twitter Moms. this is a cause very close to my heart and one I hope my five daughters will also support as they grow up.

What an exciting opportunity!
I would love to be twittermoms liason to this fabulous event. I would speak to people and get their prospectives on this worthwhile campaign. I would get as much material as I could, so that I could blog about tips, tricks and other information to promote a healthy heart and lifestyle for women.
My grandmother died from heart disease, so this campaign holds a special place in my heart. I would report what the coordinators are doing to get this information out to everyone and how we can take advantage of finding this info and whether there are areas in our community that can assist in getting info to each and everyone of us. the local health department is always a great place to start, but it isn't the only source of information.

I am also very close to NYC, since I live in New Jersey.

Wow, for me the opportunity to attend the Red Dress Collection Fashion Show is all about proving to the world that women + social media = the power to evoke change. Groups like Twittermoms can make an impact in this world - we can help spread an important message about womens' heart health, and I'd love to have a call-to-action from the people who read my blog and tweets. Something that shows a measurable result like downloading The Heart Truth for Women brochure.

What an awesome opportunity!! I would love to be the liason for twitter moms. I own a handcrafted jewelry company and prior to having my little girl, worked in the fashion industry! I've always aspired to go to a New York city fashion show and what a great show to be at! This is such an important cause for women and I would blog not only about the show, but also about the facts of this deadly disease. Thank you for your consideration. What a great site this is!
