Does anyone have issues with raging hormones once a month?

  • Rating: 0 after 1 vote
I cannot deal with this! Every month, about 1-2 weeks before my period, I get these awful hormones that make me pissed off at everything! I'm in a constant state of anxiety and irritability for about 3-4 days. I cannot stand this anymore. It makes me feel like packing everything I can in a suitcase and flying to "wherever" for forever when I'm in the middle of one of these.

It leaves me with this inability to do anything for a few days. I can't make decisions, can hardly clean anything, can barely deal with the kids and the husband demanding anything from me. I constantly have to remind myself to breathe through it. Sometimes it hits and I don't realize that it is hormones until I'm raging like a complete crazy person at everyone.

Then as soon as it comes, it's gone again. Everything is fine except my family is left as emotional casualties after an episode.

Is anyone else dealing with this right now?

Sheila - for me - I think diet and nutrition has to do with it. Also, before discovering that I was intollerant to dairy, soy, and gluten - I was crying often and had acid stomach and other symptoms - much worse during ovulation time (few weeks before). I also felt/feel better once I start menstruating.

It got worse since I became a bit malnourished from a vitamin perspective because soy lecithin is in just about all vitamins. So, I finally found Veema and it saved me!

I have noticed this also just the past year I would say. I blow up at small things that would not normally bother me. I have a negative attitude. It sucks. Some months aren't as bad as others so I'm wondering if there is some sort of dietary difference here. I don't have an answer for this problem but I do sympathize with you. I know I'm really having a bad rage of hormones when my husband says "do you really think you had to react like that?" Just that line makes me angry but I also makes me realize it's the hormones and I need to chill out.

If I find anything that works I will share it with you.

Oh my gosh YES! I know its beginning when I wake up in the middle of the night soaked - doesn't matter what temperature it is outside...hubby now freezes two weeks out of ever month (ha).

Seems like the back cramps get worse as I get older. And the edginess - I catch myself, but its always too late. I need to make lists or I forget & I cannot concentrate.

I'm looking into the PMS natural pill mentioned above. I can't take birth control pills.

Never thought I'd want menopause to come - but I am so ready!

Hello,
You are not alone. Personally my hormones have become so crazy that I have even considered leaving my husband and just taking off. When I came to my senses, I realize that I just feel awful. I started by consulting with My GYN who really had nothing to offer me. So I have started going to this BioIdentitcal Hormone clinic in my town. Already they have taken notice of my mood swings, wt gain and generalized fatigue and started me on some supplements to help me sleep better. I also had 4 tubes of blood drawn. We are all anxious to see what those show. It will truly be interesting.

I say all this to tell you that you don't have to suffer this way. I knew this and just "couldn't find the time" to get in to the office until I became so crazed I was nearly non-functional. I don't know what services are available in your area, but do try to be evaluated by someone experienced in hormonal balance. While perimenopause comes to mind, there is also hypothryoidism and adrenal fatigue that can disrupt your reproductive hormones and cause the symptoms that you are describing. Good luck and keep us posted.

I think I'm stuck right in between. I had a partial hysterectomy 6 years ago, so no more monthly. But, now I have no indicator of when the change will begin. I'm told I won't have to wonder, I'll know. I have a customer (I'm a cosmetologist) who takes an all natural product that works for her. She says she no longer gets the night sweats and her mood is more even.

This is a product that is offered online. If you would like info, please let me know. I can send you the site address. I guess when the time comes for me, I'll be trying this product for myself.
