Hello Everyone! I'm Katharine and I turned 40 in July! Woohoo! lol! This was a hard birthday for me...but I look at it positively now. I run a online magazine for women about making women shine through personal stories, talents, and achievements. I have a 10 year old daughter who is my constant muse. She is constantly inspiring me to write a novel that I have been working on with my husband for a couple of years now. I am so happy to be among this classy group of women! I look forward to knowing you all.
Love,
Kat

Hello everyone!
My name is Missie and I live in Atlanta, GA.
I'm 42 and a single mom of a six year old daughter, Janiyah.
I have been a Wardrobe Specialist for the last 25 years, but I'm now reinventing myself. I'm also a published Author of a childrens book called Pookie Lookie, The Pink Spotted Panda Bear.

I have studied Holistic Health for the last 20 years.
I don't eat red meat and I've never have eaten pork. I'm also a Certified Reflexologist. I believe my lifestyle is what has sustained me this far. I'm also researching and testing out the Raw Foods lifestyle. Check out my other website www.ladyoasis.ning.com on Raw Foods.
What else? Oh, I'm also a Director for a Natural Gas company called
Stream Energy: www.successfulsinglemoms.igniteinc.biz
So as you can see, I have to embrace the right lifestyle to keep up with my daughter and my business ventures!
Needless to say, Life can be challenging, but my motto is
'Never be defeated. It's not an option!"
I look forward to meeting all the 'FABULOUS AND FORTY' women and creating exciting friendships!
Stay Amazing!

Hi,
I'm new to the group. I'm 43. I don't need reading glasses yet, but I do feel like an old broke down jollopy. I have two sons - they both both have birthdays next month and will be 18 and 4. I don't know that the 4 year old is keeping me young like people say. My hair is getting whiter every day.

What's fabulous? I sold my first novel when I turned 40 and it will be released on Nov 24th. The title is Secrets and Lies and there's lots about it on my website at www.rhondamcknight.net

Oh, my kids and my pending divorce are also fabulous!

Nice to meet everyone.

Hello Ladies...I will be 40 in about 9months. Besides my new business PIX N' TRAY which I entail today...I'm a licensed Cosmetologist skincare specialist. I have to say, aging is inevitable(:... but, there is many elements that can be used/taken for slowing the aging process.....noooo botox lol ...there is natural ways you could slow down aging. Personally if you like botox then that's ok...but if you are scared of needles then stick to a daily facial program which you can create yourself.
1. drink lots of WATER to keep your skin supple & hydrated.
2. Cleanse(morning & evening), exfoliate(at least 2x a week) moisturize (my favorite oil olay) apply an SPF 30 when going outdoors.
3. Always use an eye cream to target the lines before moisturizing.
Remember to never go to sleep with your make up on.
Eat lots of fruits & vegetables(the richer the color the more antioxidants)... what you eat reflects on your skin later.
Trust me I also battle every day trying to keep those lines away!(:

Have a great week ladies!
