Sheila - thank you so much for your comment. I feel lucky to have some great doggy friends and surprised with some of my friend's reactions without dogs. I had a dear friend say "Oh don't worry - and show me pics of other dogs to purchase from the paper'. She is dear and it was innocent - but shocking. It's nice to be understood at times like this. Hi Juliette So sorry to hear about your loss (GoGo Girlie). It is so hard when we lose our best friend. We lost our beloved Billie last year so I understand the pain you are going through. Forever in our hearts.

You have definitely had a hard week with losing your job and your best friend. Better days are coming.

I'm 43 and lost my full-time job last week and lost my therapy dog and best girlie girl (cannot have human kids - these are our kids) last night to osteosarcoma of the scapula (bone cancer - shoulder). I'm still in shock. Gogo is the front doggy in the photo. Juliette_Ferguson@MaryKay.com

Darline, I'm almost 49 (next month) and have 3 girls (12 next month, 10 and 7) and they keep me young, tired and interesting. The oldest needs me in different ways than the younger two. Starting to deal with the horrible girlfriends problems (Mom, she won't talk to me and I don't know why) and the I don't want to tie my shoes by myself right now. LOL! It's always interesting around here.

Amen to that Sheila!!! You don't know whether you're comin' or goin' in the early days, sometimes it's all a blur. But oh..... those precious moments when they first wake up, with pure sweetness on their breath..... they can't get enough of you, and you can't believe how blessed you are to have them.

When the kids are young those are the best days of your life, you're just too tired to realize it.

Darline - When your babies become teenagers you will appreciate a good laugh even more! Enjoy them now. Yes I love my "babies", but wow does it get trying. Nice to meet you by the way - and to everybody here - I will get my picture up. Just haven't had the chance to get it done yet.

You all are so funny. I am in the thick of raising little ones (ages 6 1/2 and 3) and often long for the days when they won't need me so much. But I do find time to laugh. currently they have invented an imaginary friend, Tiny, who is the current scapegoat for all manner of things. My daughter is also becoming quite the little lady, wanting "privacy" and to be "all growed up". It's a mixed bag I suppose. I am sure that I will look back on these days and miss my "babies" but for now, a good night's sleep is looking really good.

None of my children have married yet... two are in fairly serious relationships though. I will love being a grandma/nanna.... whatever, lol, when that time comes. I am not in a rush for it though~ even though I love babies and children all-together. I think that once my youngest is in college in a couple of years, I may feel differently. Right now it seems all I do is pray that my daughter and my eldest (unattached) son find mates that are good people. I have heard some real horror stories from people whose children find mates that cause all hell to break loose, and create chaos for the entire family. Now that would surely put me near, if not over, the edge... lol!

Very happy to share, Annette~ it helps when I am wallowing in self pity over only having one child left at home, lol. And she's almost 16 and is trying (sometimes very hard) to have life of HER own~ which doesn't always include good 'ol mommy!
