Hi! I'm a tech mamma living in St. Louis. I've been doing SEO/SEM for the past 12 years after 3 years in print journalism. I often speak in weird acronyms that friends and family cannot understand. My tween geek daughter steals all my conference tees from obscure startups. But I do manage to thrill friends and family when I bring home some Google swag.
I'm most active on twitter, facebook, linkedin and mixx but I try new sites all the time.

Hi, all! Newbie here. I'm married to a tech geek who makes his living as a sys admin. I love gadgets and would rather get some new hardware, gadget or game than jewelry, clothes or shoes. I spend most of my free time on the computer either drawing on my wacom, reading webcomics, playing games, or reading e-books.

I'm not sure that we have a "reply to" thread. I am leaning toward the iphone just because I hear so many amazing things (just not sure what the cost is approximately per month). Not quite what I had in mind, more of a Mac Air book, the thin one - can't remember what the official name is!

I think I need to work with dzinermom. I would someday love to own an Apple. I put myself through college doing graphic design and am now an amateur photographer. I love doing design.

Go for an iPod touch instead of the blackberry, and you *will* have an Apple :) I know, I know - not quite what you meant, but it is kinda like having a little computer in your hands!

I am not geeky but my favorite magazine is Wired. Oh well... I guess I'm a geeky, wanna-be. I don't understand it but I love it when it works. So... I try to figure it out as I go. Can I lurk in your group? Maybe I'll pick something up by osmosis!?!

I am a one-day-old twittermom and loving every minute of it! I absolutely LOVE my iphone and pretty much anything Mac.

Hey wow, finally a group of peers who won't look at me funny when I whip out my iPod to check my email/twitters/facebook/IM or other media sites!

My dh got me the iPod touch last Christmas, but I think he now regrets it since I am on it a lot... well, seems like a lot to him. I check it first thing in the morning, and at the end of the day before going to bed and periodically during the day if I have a wi-fi signal... what's wrong with that?? I use the sports analogy: you're addicted to watching sports, getting the latest scores, highlights, etc; I'm addicted to keeping current with my social networking sites!

I also love apple computers, and work heavily with design software [Adobe] Creative Suite, which includes layout, photo manipulation, drawing and PDF editing software.

Good to know I am not alone, and nice to meet such a smart bunch of women!
