I'm reading The Power of Persuasion - How We're Bought and Sold. It's a really mind blowing book about how social psychologists and anthropologists monitor our behaviors to help marketing companies get us to buy things.

I'm reading The Underground History of American Education by John Taylor Gatto. It's about how compulsary education came into existence in America and how it has morphed and changed into what we now have. It is a slow read as there is alot to digest.

I'm also reading along with my 11 year old The Westing Game and really enjoying it (mystery type book).

I am just about to finish Drop City by TC Boyle. I have been trying to read through the 1001 books, and each year I read the Miles Franklin and Booker shortlists. Finding it really hard to get time to read at the moment, though.

I've been reading the twilight series by Stephenie Meyer and I am addicted. I've read each book at least 3 times already. I will soon be starting her other book "The Host"

I am reading the Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. I just started but it has my attention. I just finished
The Blood of Flowers: A Novel by Anita Amirrezvani, that was a really good book. I enjoyed it.

I'm very slowly reading The Secret Life of Bees. I just finished reading the Twilight Saga and The Host by Stephenie Meyer. All of them were very good. My easy "beach reads" for this year were The Choice by Nicholas Sparks and Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson. I enjoyed them as well.

I have a long list of books waiting for me. Unfortunately, I'll only have time to read MBA textbooks until I graduate in March.

I'm reading Small is the New Big and 183 other riffs, rants, and remarkable business ideas by Seth Godin. I've learned a lot and even laughed out loud a few times! It's easy to read little bits at a time because of how it's set up.
