I have run out of books to read....help me find something..I just finished the World of the Lupi series 1-4 by Eileen Wilks. This past year I have read all up to the the latest books in these series: Charlaine Harris Sookie Stackhouse series, her Harper Connelly series, JD Robb Eve Dallas series, Kim Harrison the Hollows series, Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake & Merry Gentry series', Stephenie Meyers Twilight series (I AM SO NOT A FAN). I am now looking for a new series to get into...any suggestions? I also read the Harry Potter books, Scott Westerfield's Uglies series, Diana Duane Young Wizard's series, Holly Black's Septimus series and Modern Tale of Faerie with my older kids....I am a horror, sci-fi, fantasy junkie who loves romance novels contemporary & historical. My favorite authors are the above listed as well as Jennifer Crusie, Janet Evanovich, Diane Mott Davidson, G.A McKevitt, Hannah Howell, Catherine Coulter, Michael Connelly, Faye & Jonathon Kellerman, James Patterson, J. A. Jance, Jayne Castle Jayne Krentz Amanda Quick, Jude Devereaux, Nora Roberts, Stephen King...

These should give you some ideas of types of books and authors that I like. Anyone have something to suggest?

Have you ever read books by Jodi Picoult? Her books always contain crime, trials, romance and mystery. One of my favorite books that I need to re-read is The Red Tent. It is a historical fiction novel based on the Bible. I am not religious, but it was an interesting read.

If you like Sci Fi you would probably LOVE The Host by Stephenie Meyer.....I really liked it and I dont even like Sci Fi. Also, anything by Jodi Picould but My Sister's Keeper is my all time favorite by her.

I don't know about anyone else, but I LOVE the Inheritance Cycle (Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr). I have all 3 books and can't wait for the 4th to come out!

I have read the Odd series. I love Dean Koontz & have read almost all his stuff, but the Odd series was a little hard for me to get into, but I read them anyway.

Sounds like we have very similar taste. :) I didn't see Patricia Briggs or Kelley Armstrong listed. I love both of them. For romance have you tried Eve Silver/Eve Kenin (same person), or Ann Aguire? Highly rec all of those!

The Mary Russell series by Laurie R. King --- Best. Series. Ever. Starts with The Beekeeper's Apprentice, first two chapters of which are free here. I still love the opening line after all these years:

I was fifteen when I first met Sherlock Holmes, fifteen years old with my nose in a book as I walked the Sussex Downs, and nearly stepped on him.

The ninth installment, The Language of Bees, is coming out at the end of April. And the protagonist is on twitter, which is pretty cool! :D

Disclosure--I'm the administrator for the author's book club, but I was a completely gaga, Russellholic fan years before I started doing that.

Have you read any of the Dune novels by Frank Herbert? I believe his son added one or two novels to the series since Frank Herbert died.

Excellent sci fi. The movie did not measure up to the book series.

I read the first 6 books, but have not been able to get back to read the newer books.

My absolute favorite author tends to fly under the radar, M.M.Kaye. She writes historical fiction, they can be a little dry in the beginning, but you will be hooked by the second chapter. My favorite book is called "Shadow of the Moon." If you decide to read these, let me know, I'd love to discuss them!

I really enjoyed The Hunger Games! I kind of have a dystopian/post-apocalyptic fiction fetish, so I tend to dote on books like that. The sequel comes out this fall, I think.

I've heard of MM Kaye before, but have never read her stuff. I'll have to look out for her books.

I read The Time Travelers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger and it is hands down the best book I have read in ages. I also just finished reading Sundays at Tiffany's by James Patterson and that one was pretty good also.

For Fantasy books may I suggest the Sword Dancer series by Jennifer Roberson. Really great series of books, so good that we named our daughter after the main character. =)

If you are into historical books I would look at Philippa Gregory. She is tending to the time of Tendor reign especially King Henry VIII time. She even throws in romance but it is still good to me who does not like romance books. I would also recommend the Hunger Games because it was great. I probaly could go on forever.
