My 13 year old daughter is allergic to blue dye #1. A skin allergy - she breaks out in hives when any substance with this ingredient touches her skin. She also has a similar reaction to benzoyl peroxide.

Hi there!
My son is on the gluten & casein free diet, and is allergic to red dye, and treenuts. My daughter is allergic to milk. Fun at our house!

My whole family has food allergies. I'm allergic to a chemical called Protolase (commonly found in pineapples) my husband is allergic to shellfish and iodine, and my daughter is allergic to peanuts and treenuts. With all that, shopping can be a real chore. I sometimes say my daughter will be an only child because I don't think I could cope with yet another food allergy!

This is a great idea for a group. I had severe allergies, still have some, and both my sons have some allergies as well. Thanks for starting the group!

Finamoon - sorry about the description, I removed the word "food". I haven't hit any of those issues (yet) so I didn't even think about it! (I'm sure you deal with that all the time...) Anyway - I bet you deal with some of the same headaches the food allergy moms deal with - glad you joined the group! :)

What about drug allergies? My 4 year old daughter doesn't currently have food allergies, but she is allergic to certain medication.
