I'm the one with allergies, and it is getting worse as I get older. I am allergic to so much, I think I should live in a bio-hazard suit, I swear. I just tried a masque from Clinique, and I broke out into hives and eczema. Its horrible. I'm allergic to so many things, I won't bother to list them. I agree with Kelly Ann, I'm switching to a more organic way of cleaning, thanks to Aggie and Kim from How Clean is Your House. They recommend using baking soda, vinegar and lemon juice to clean. Not only is it great for cleaning, it's cheaper than most household products. Anything that will help my allergies, I will do. So if anyone has any additional suggestions, I would love to hear them!!! Thanks.

my kids all had allergies ,eczema, asthma and so did I. I had pnemonia 4 times last year. Docter bills through the roof. It doesnt have to be that way. I just want to say to everyone here I found a way out and Id love to help and give as much advice as possible but the best advice I give to you now is learn more about the products you are using. When I found out formaldahyde causes allergies asthma and cancer I was quick to research what products I was buying that had it in it and was surprised to hear that almost all my house hold products had cheap ingredients that were causing my problems. Ive been there and happy to say that after learning this, I changed where I shopped and Ive been doing so much better and my kids have not needed their nebulizer in 4 months. :)

Just a quick "hi," and glad to have found you. My daughter (22 months) is allergic to the general (dogs, cats, pollens, dust/mites), but severely allergic/intolerant to foods. Anaphylaxis to corn (all forms), red dye and apples and severly intolerant to dairy/casein, gluten/wheat (but can have oats) and soy. It's been quite a journey!

i am a UK mother of four children, one of whoom has multiple food and environmental allergies.
I have worked with the anaphylaxis campaign, and have voluntered for allergyUK, and the campaign over the years. i give free presentations on allergy management to all pre-schools, schools etc, ( my work background was in senior roles in various childcare establishments)
I also volunteer for a new charity , the www.alexcurtis.org
giving presentations to a large group of young teens on asthma, its management, and care during asthma attacks, etc etc!
As a family we have featured on bbc breakfast news, sky news, and a documentary on allergies.

to date, our son, has allergies to,
peanut ( of course!)
some beans
kiwi fruit
pineapple
yeast extract ( and possibly food with vascoactive amines)
dog
raw egg,
other ones, dustmite/cat/tree pollen.

has grown out of tree nut allergies, hay fever, but outgrown and re-developed raw egg allergy, can still eat cooked egg.

Just a quick introduction. My 4 year old (almost 5) has outdoor allergies. She has been having issues with drinking regular milk and the doctor thinks she has an allergy to it due to the pain in her stomach she gets after drinking it. They wanted to test her but she wouldn't allow them to do it last monday. So we'll have to wait for her to get a little older to do it but it wouldn't surprise me if she is because I'm highly allergic to Milk and everything else.

Hi all! Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to the group and share why I have joined this group - As a nutritionist, I deal with many families who have multiple health conditions and allergies. The biggest challenge has been to find a meal that supports everyone's health, while being simple to prepare and delicious. I developed a tool, MyFoodMyHealth.com, that will create safe, enjoyable meal plans for your entire family (with a profile for each member of the family). It's easy to use and allows you to eliminate any of the 1,200 ingredients on our site from your meal plan that someone may be allergic to. I hope that you will find the website to be useful to you and your loved ones!
