I am not a mom of a child with Autism but my mom has worked with Autisic kids for almost 10 years so I am very knowledgeable on the subject and it is growing each day. They are such special children.

Britton has been having multiple seizures all day today, had to call the squad because I thought that he was choking. Luckily he was not but he kelpt pulling at his tongue and has been weak, not making sense etc. He had 10 -15 an hour in the ER so they gave him ativan shot and ativan for this evening as well as for in the morning, we have a neuro appointment at 9am with the head of Cincinnati Chilldren's neuro dept NP since its an emergency. I willl keep you all updated as I know what is going on, hopefully tomorrow evening! All I know is is has been having them in his sleep and while awake and as a nurse I am terrified. Please pray for him, this is all I ask!

Had some problems yesterday with my son. He asked me to find him a new daddy. Apparently my husband yells too much at him. I don't think so, I think it is because he doesn't get to spend as much time with our son that it appears that he is always yelling at him. It is partly my fault, because when hubby gets home, I turn disciplining the kids over to him. Well, we are going to change that. Time for me to do the disciplining and let daddy be the fun parent for a change.

My son is 7.5 and was diagnosed at 24 months by his OT with Asperger's Syndrome. He also has co morbid diagnoses of course: ADHD, Sensory integration, seizure disorder, food allergies, Ehyler Danlos Syndrome and testing soon for leaky gut as well as other issues. It has been a long haul with many peaks and valleys, however the peaks have been the the biggest gains and worth it all. Right now he has regressed some, the seizures that had been controlled are now coming 2-3 a day or more, stomach issues as well as behavioral and this is all since starting a new school. He goes back to the pediatrician the 16th who fortunately is a wonderful doctor and takes great care of his needs so the bottom of the issues are not far! Looking up as always!
