I don't know. Haven't taken possum anywhere so havn't been in that situation.

Had a meltdown myself today.

Had to go to shop to buy a little heater for bug's room (it is soooo cold atm). had issues getting possum into the car, then we get to the store and he runs off. i eventually catch him and we find the heater i want and he lays on the floor and wont stand up. eventually get him up and we are on our way out and he insists on sitting on a couch for sale. he then lays on it and refuses to get up - thinks mummy is being very funny with her persistent asking.

by the time we get out of the store and into the car i am in tears because what should have been a simple in-and-out turned into this great long, drawn-out mess.

why didn't I just let him lay on the floor/couch until he gets it out of his system? I don't know why i let myself get so worked up about these things.

probably didn't help that bug was up from 4 am so i had bugger all sleep last night.

*sob*

Yay! Bought some (Mercury-free) cod liver capsules and acidophilus (milk free) tablets as well. Hope this helps!! I'm excited to be experimenting with natural helps. Let you know! Julie

There is a lot of good information in some of the books I have reviewed. Also, I am currently doing a giveaway for Sambucol Black Elderberry. It is a gift set. I use elderberry with my son and it has helped his immune system a lot. Even my parents were surprised at how improved his allergies are.

We saw HUGE improvements when Ethan was on both of those (cod liver and Acidophilus), plus we also have him on multi-vitamins in liquid form. We saw changes for the best within a day or two of starting him on it, not saying it will help everyone but hey it is worth a try :)!

Ok, after reading Catherine's comments, I am going to try cod liver oil and acidophilus. I've noticed my HFA son seems to have high yeast- white tongue and yogurt seems to help some. Man! my nana knew what she was doing w/ the cod liver oil! Thanks Catherine! We do learn from the experts- other parents :)

That totally stinks. Some DAN! docs will consult with you over the phone if you come visit once a year. So you could look into that especially if you can find one in the north close to Nova Scotia (Not sure who is up that way except Dr. Bock is in New York State). You could also try Dr. Yasko. She is only on-line but I understand she requires a lot of testing to be done and it can be pretty expensive. She is not a DAN! but has her own protocol that has been really successful for some kids. I have not tried her because we are doing so well with our DAN! that I haven't felt a need to move on to another protocol yet. Plus, I felt a little lost not having a doctor's office to visit. But some parents love her. You can Google her and check her out.

sadly we don't have DAN doctor's here in Nova Scotia, have been looking but it seems they are mostly in the states.
