Hello, I am new to this group, but I'm glad to meet moms in my age group. It's a grand time of life.
We live and travel full time in our RV. My husband does safety inspections on amusement rides so we travel for his work all over. I sell Sewing Patterns online as my business. We have grown kids in Seattle and Florida and this month we are in Tampa and getting to play with grandchildren. (Whoo hoo!)
I have been an RN and I owned Antique Shops before I sold out to hit the road...and that's been almost 5 years now. I am a lucky gal!

Terri, blogging fills up my time like I can't believe. I see you have a blog but it doesn't look like you post that often. Maybe you should try really throwing yourself into it or starting another one. I am more addicted to blogging that anything I can remember in a long time.

Volunteer, go back to school, start a book club, wine club. Set new goals for yourself. Travel. Go visit your daughter. You will find so many ways to fill those moments - just make them count!

Terri, i thought the same thing when mine headed off 2 college but boy did I surprise myself! Now I wish I had some empty time on my hands!

Welcome LInda. I find it exciting to hear about the diverse backgrounds of boomers (although I am tiring of that terminology). For the most part we are all actively involved in a passionate concern. Sounds like the 60's aren't dead but are now focused and in the hands of very capable people.

Hi Everyone! Just joined your Baby Boomer group. Our children are on their own and our "Critters" are our children of the present! We live in the woods in norther Ontario and have a rescue horse farm and I work with rescue horses, as well; so, it is great to find likeminded friends on twitter.

Hi everyone...just joined this group and excited to have even found it! I became an empty nester a year ago - when our youngest daughter moved out - what an adjustment....the hunt began for my "new normal" - it's taken not quite a year but am excited about the future, enjoying travel and experiencing new things - and looking forward to connecting with many on here
