I haven't heard of Harvey and Me. Is it fairly new? Just watched a funny movie - Death At A Funeral. Very British humor. Anyone else seen this movie?

So, there's a new movie..."Harvey and Me"...I think. Anyway, Dustin Hoffman. Emma Thompson. A love story about Boomers. Hooray for that! And such excellent, talented actors too. I've already told a couple friends we need to go.

I embrace the future with joy...the younger years suck...it's getting older that is where it is really at!

A friend of mine who happens to be a Parent Coach, (parenting powers.com) saved my sanity this past year. I was starting to feel angst about letting my youngest leave the nest, afraid of her driving with all the nuts out there, and not sure I could handle all the teen issues after surviving some challenges with my oldest. I also joined a Writer's Group three years ago, and that has given me a new direction at a later stage, okay middle stage of life. For anyone just starting the mid-life journey one tip is to find some gal pals who can relate!!!!!!
Happy New Year! Georgia

I agree with you guys. I feel that way too. But time just continues to go by too quickly! It's about to be 2009. WOW

Yeah , I remember a time when menopause meant "old" - now it means "free"! I like these late middle years of my life ... You know they say today's age 50 was yester-years age 35. I feel that way ... this aging thing is working pretty well for me so far - with an exception of the occasional angst about life being gone before I know it!

I'm soooo glad to find this group; I'm now called "mom" no longer "mommy". So this group fits me... and whoa to the menopause....been there, done that, still sometimes there... LOL
