I thought I had left a comment yesterday but the internet conked out in the middle of posting! Anyway, I'm a 54 yo mother of 2 teens (13 yo boy & 15 yo daughter). I'm kind of "outing" myself to the Twitter community as I almost NEVER give my age on the internet, especially in social media. That's because I sense that most of that community is much younger than I. My feeling is that most people will assume a certain "stodginess" from people my age and also maybe a general ignorance about all things tech. In all fairness, when I was 20 or 30-something I probably would have held similar age-related judgments. So... glad to have found a community of like-minded women! I have a new blog (just a few weeks old) where I talk about raising teenagers - I'm learning a lot about design and SEO.

I have been wondering how to spell "Yay" for a long time. Yea and Yeah seem like the same word to me so I am never sure. Now I know! It's kinda like, who says "Hurrah", I only hear "Hurray" and and spell it that way also. Besides, Gumby said it that way so it must be right.

(Question: Did any of you other Boomers type "yea" for years? This is my first time trying "yay" which seems to have replaced the proper spelling. :)

Hello, I just joined this morning and am glad to have found others my age here on the Twittermoms. I had laughingly said I needed a TwitterGranny group since I was older than moms with younger kids. My children are 25, 24, 23, 21 and 18. I skipped a couple years in there.
