Hey, I'm the newbie on the block. I breastfeed my daughter and I'm glad I did. The two of us are the dynamic duo. I have been advised she will loose interest in breastfeeding but this has not happened. I don't want her to be tramatized but plzzzzzzz how do I ween her off me :D. She will be three in January. I do Indian Medicine and the doctor would prefer I breastfeed till she is five. I can't go five years. It is just her and I, she has been tramatized enough because her father forgot to tell me he was a sex addict, the worst kind. God saved us both for him, keeps us safe and provides for our needs. The dill juice doesn't work. Help plzzzz :D. Blessings, Joanna

Hey everyone! It's official - The Pump Station is opening a 3rd location in Westlake Village - we signed the lease yesterday. Please spread the word - we know Moms in the valley will be thrilled to not have to trek all the way to Hollywood and Santa Monica. We'll be offering the same great products and services in an amazing space! Stay tuned for more information regarding Grand Opening Dates!

Hi there!
Yes, I definitely have some advice! I suffered from SEVERE Matitis which was incredibly painful and difficult and I definitely don't want anyone else to ever feel the pain I felt! First I highly recommend you take a Pre-Natal breastfeeding class and attend a breastfeeding support group before the baby is born. After the baby is born attend more breastfeeding support groups and enlist the assistance of a IBCLC (certified lactation consultant) if you can afford to do so. If you can get a good latch early on - you will have much better success in the long run. I am not sure where you are located but there are locations such as ours, The Pump Station & Nurtury that provide all of these resources to new moms in a kind, loving supportive community. Breastfeeding is hard! The more support you have the more successful you will be! Best of luck!

Hello!
I have a little boy that just turned one May 19th. We are still nursing, don't have a end date....just kinda going with it at this point. I am so happy that we made it to a year, it defiantly didn't come easy to us. He pretty much just nurses at naps and bedtime but occasionally during the day as well. I started nursing with the mind set that, if it works it works but if not at least I tried.....now I am very passionate about it and am thinking about becoming a lactation consultant once I finish my nursing degree. I hope that this group is encouraging and helpful to all the nursing Mommy's!
