H1N1 Mom

What is a mom/wife to do? Late last week my husband took himself to bed and he still hasn’t budged. Actually he budged once - after 3 days in bed, he took a turn for the worse and his chest was feeling tight so we took him to the Ermergency dept. to get him checked out. His lungs are clear so they sent him home.
Here is my dilemma: What is a good mom to do? We have more or less quarantined dad/husband to his own bedroom and bathroom. My kids and I are well and operating as usual (with very clean hands) in the rest of the house, but I feel a little guilty sending us all out into the world knowing what I know, but maybe I know too much. This bug and all the news it gets is overwhelming me.
This is a terrible bug, my husband is really sick. The nurse says he’ll be sick for at least a week so be patient.
I think I have decided to listen to the news just once a day, do what I can to keep the kids healthy, get the H1N1 shots and get through this medical media madness and avoid all eye contact with parents in the schoolyard.

I'm sure the kids want to see their father but with all this hype about H1N1 it's better to keep them away. But, you can't avoid everyone. There is something out there that has been scientifically tested and proven to kill the H1N1 virus on contact but not many people know about it. You can spray it in the air, wash your hands with it and also household surfaces. It is an all natural cleaner and has a patent pending formula so you can only get it through one company that has been around for 25 years.; ▶ Reply to This

Rough to say, but don't you think you should have all been quarantined? If dad has the flu, and it's an airborne virus....chances are you will get it and the timeframe in which you can spread it is 3 days before you have symptoms. Does he come out for food? Is someone bringing it in to him? Do you have central heating/air?
I hope everyone is doing well and there have been no complications.

That is the real conundrum - should we quarantine everyone in the family? Of course that only works if everyone with a connection to H1N1 does the same - not likely i think. I spoke with the principals at both my kids schools and both of them said to keep sending them to school, assuring me that they are getting kids to hand wash regularly. We got the shots, but I am thinking this whole thing has gotten way out of hand.
We have no central air and we have a gas furnace and windows that open - so fresh air is circulating
P.S. My info states that you are only contagious for 1 day before you see symptoms and statisticaly there is only a 25% infection rate to family members (hard to believe, but I'm going with it)
