P.S. Please pray for a MOPS friend Deana. She is losing her fight with Berkitt's Lymphoma. She's the mom of two beautiful preschool boys. She needs a miracle, and as we heard in mass today, sometimes Jesus provides them...so join me in prayer. Thanks.

I am a cradle Catholic who attends St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carlsbad. I'm mom to Justin, Jared, and Destiny. Trying to prepare for Lent and deepen my faith journey. Feeling rather rootless right now. Too much business, not enough prayer. May give up social networking for lent, but in the mean time I would love to eavesdrop on y'all.

It can get pretty tough being a Catholic, and tougher being a parent trying to teach her children the values and traditions of this faith without being overly traditional or conservative. I was born, raised, and educated a Catholic but I did have my own periods of doubt and defiance to its beliefs and practices. However, this "dark" period somehow became a window for me to experience and encounter God in many ways and learned to appreciate what being a Catholic actually means to me.

I am a catholic and Christian mom who loves God! I think faith gives us a reason to live!! My faith grew stronger when my mom got sick with cancer and she was cured!! A true miracle!! I have God to thank for that!! I look forward to chatting with you!!
