My 4 month old has just mastered rolling on her stomach. However, my concern is that she will roll over during the night. She sleeps in her crib and we monitor her through our video monitor, but I'm afraid I am going to find her on her stomach. Does anyone have suggestions for what to do to avoid her from rolling on her stomach during the night. Help!!

Do you swaddle her? http://kindredthought.blogspot.com/2009/02/baby-essentials-swaddler...

I know there are sleep positioners if you're worried: http://www.nextag.com/baby-positioner-sleep/search-html

My daughter didn't ever really roll over on her tummy when sleeping until she was older - she does it now sometimes (she's almost 10 months). I guess I didn't worry too much because she was pretty strong and could lift herself out of bad situations it seemed like.

It's not bad if she does roll over even during the night. My baby has done this a few times. I've actually read that if your baby can roll over he or she can roll back too if they needed to so you don't have to worry anymore at that point. We are all so afraid of the stomach, which is why so many kids are going straight to walking, without crawling. My son hates his stomach, probably because he's only on it once or twice a day, and I didn't start until like a month (should've started right away - next time!).

No, I don't swaddle her. We live in a very dry, hot area of Texas, so she sleeps in long sleeve pajamas. The baby positioners sound like a good idea. Thanks :)
