Hi my little boy has reflux and I just wondered if any one else has experience of it. He is 4 months now and still on his medication. It doesn't seem to be getting any better, but other than that he's doing great.
My washing machine is always on and I sometimes feel that all I ever do is change his clothes lol.
I'd just be interested to share experiences with other mums

My son had it for awhile. His doctor give him medication for it and his went away plus we had to change his milk so maybe u need to change his milk he drives
My two older boys were ok, but my little girl seemed to have it a lot in comparison, I always seemed to have a cloth with me, she is now 9 months and occasionally brings up some milk. I use Cow and Gate and that has seemed to work for her, the first milk, she didn't agree with the level 2 at all. I'm sure like most things he will grow out of it especially when he goes onto solids.

Hi Sarah,
My little boy started projectile vomiting whilst still in hospital. They did lots of tests, xrays etc and 2 weeks later decided it was "just" severe reflux. He has 2 different medicines 4 times a day and a thickener in his milk. Initially he lost a lot of weight but then started to gain weight and is doing well. He still has projectile vomiting at times (right across the room) but it's mainly spit up and it happens all the time.
As with your daughter, we try to have him at an incline all the times, we've bought a breathing monitor for night times and I'm nervous to put him upstairs when we are down stairs for fear of chocking. He should have seen his Consultant last week but we had such bad snow that we couldn't get there.
Other than this, he is a lovely, happy baby who is always smiling. I'm just about to start him on baby rice so I'll see how he gets on. I'm so hoping that he grows out of it soon, when he gets excited or happy it seems to happen more!
Hello! Welcome to the world of reflux babies! My son is 8 months old and is still on his med, Zantac. Let me tell you a little about his story, he is a preemie and has an underdeveloped digestive system. While in the hospital, we tried a lot to help him with his reflux - zantac was used, and then they stopped it and tried thickening his formula - that didn't work because he couldn't suck it. They put him back on zantac and ended up having him sleep on a wedge. The wedge actually goes in the bed and has a harness...you put the baby in the harness tummy down and it helps the food stay down. It worked wonders. He slept on the wedge until he was 6 months old.
Every bottle was a challenge at first because of the pain. I would cry through feeding him, he would cry. He would projectile vomit and cry and scream - it sucked! He barely would eat, we would feed him every two hours.
Now, he is fine, he still has it, but not nearly as bad. I swear I washed his clothes 10 times a day. Not to mention (I was always in sweats and tshirts because he puked on me most of the time.
Like I said now he is fine, he has reflux, but it's barely evident. He is still on his med for now...but the Dr. plans to cut him back.
It gets easier! But I feel ya! I understand the frustration and struggles, feel free to contact me anytime about this!
Cameron is on Zantac too and Domperidone. Anyway, I tried him on a bit of baby rice today, he wasn't impressed and sure enough he brought it all back up and the half a bottle he'd had first. It's worried me a bit tbh, he only had a little bit of rice. I'll try again tomorrow.
