Just wondering~ As I see a lot of women are. I can't imagine following so many. I have met some awesome women, that I never would have otherwise though!
When I was using just the web to tweet or my iPhone (yes, major Apple fanatic here) it was so simple with a couple of friends. Then as it has grown to just like the 20 I follow, it got crazy! I started using TweetDeck, which is AWESOME! Oh my, I don't know how peole who keep up with so many don't use it! I am actually going to do a Video Tutorial on using it and basics of Twitter in my Computer Coaching Column on my site this Wed. I am too excited about using it to not share the info!
So how about you?? Are you one of those who want to crack the ceiling? Get 500-1000 followers? And if so, Hey! That's Awesome, I would love to know how many are really out to do that!
I'd love to have a huge following - LOL, but I just don't have the time to devote to following others and tweeting a lot during the day. As my husband telecommutes, we are pretty much banned from the office during the day, except for his breaks. My main goal is marketing my jewelry business and also to chat with other Christian, homeschooling parents. I'll have to give TweetDeck a try - thanks!
I use Tweetdeck and it makes following people really easy. You can also do searches if you are looking for something in particular in someones tweet. It was very nice. I'm not really interested in followers per say. I was mainly looking for traffic to my site. However, I am meeting wonderful people along the way.
I don't think about the numbers too much. If someone wants to follow me, I'll follow them back and I'm open to all sorts of pple. (except obvious spammers or p*rn, those I block).
I follow a lot of pple, but I find I consistently see the same faces tweeting. So it looks like I talk with lots of pple if you look at the numbers, but it's really very few. 25 maybe?
I was wondering how people follow others tweets. I'm fairly new to twitter & on there for only a few times a day. Since my work is graphic/web design, I spend a lot of time at the computer & I've found that I can waste a lot of time trying to catch up with peoples tweets. The only ones on twitter that I have had extended contact with are a few clients of mine & I really like to follow all their tweets. I recently started following other WAHMs & I followed this one featuring wahm jobs -- it was borderline spam (is that possible on twitter?), there were WAY too many tweets, so I stopped following them. Thanks for posting about TweetDeck, I'm excited to check it out!
As for following, I don't care who follows me (or how many do) - maybe they'll get something from it. I follow people I know (or have worked with), those who have interests similar to me or are writing interesting tweets.

I am not looking for a huge following and I do follow over 200 right now, but most of these don't tweet all that much so it's more like following around 100. I read once that you should "live in your reply". In other words, only follow those whom you will gain insight or useful information from and the rest, just reply to.
Quality and area of focus would influence my choices.
I've some remark on having numbers and 5 updates (lol).
Some as have been said don't know the purpose.
I am going to try tweetdeck.
Check out Christian twitter wives. (Brand new)
Hi, all! I am new here and relatively new to Twitter. I started tweeting not knowing what I was doing and it has really started to grow....when you talk about following everyone...it is virtually impossible. So, I KNOW I am not doing it properly. I have to go check out tweetdeck right away....sounds like something I need.
Hi,
I'm new to twitter, I'm not trying to get 1000's of follower's but I do add people that add me. I try to make sure there post are decent, but I'm like you, if someone slips by and post something that offends, I just click the unfollow button.

When I first joined twitter I had no idea what to tweet about. It took a couple of months before I started tweeting. I am close to 500 followers and I don't think I want more than that really. I need to improve on engaging the followers I have. I do use any twitter applications. I am aware of them and I would like to use them, I just have not at this point.
